Golgi Protein for HCC Diagnosis
Screening for Hepatocellular CarcinomaThis case-control study was conducted on 90 patients who were equally divided into two groups. Group 1 included 45 patients with HCV-related chronic liver disease without clinical or radiological evidence of HCC (control group), and Group 2 included 45 patients diagnosed to have HCC by Triphasic abdominal CT (patient group). Serum AFP and GP73 were measured using ELISA technique
HCC Response Assessment by MRI After SBRT
CarcinomaHepatocellularThe aim of this work was to describe SBRT different presentations, to study predictive factors for tumor responses following treatment, and to compare tumor response assessments according to the Response Evaluation Criteria
A Novel Laparoscopic Hepatectomy Posture, Left Lateral Position Plus Jackknife Position
Hepatocellular CarcinomaSince the first report of laparoscopic resection of a benign hepatic tumor by Professor H. Reith in 1991, the laparoscope has been widely used in liver disease. Based on its advantages in laparoscopic vision and amplification, laparoscopic hepatectomy (LH) has been well recognized globally. Generally speaking, for lesions located in the left, front or lower part of the liver, corresponding to Couinaud segments II, III, IVb, V and VI, an LH surgery is recommended; however, for lesions located in segments VII and VIII, the surgery is high technically difficult due to poor exposure. Therefore, the investigators employ the left lateral position plus jackknife position to better expose lesions in these segments, hoping to reduce surgical time and bleeding in LH.
Hepatocellular Carcinoma and Rheumatoid Arthritis
CarcinomaHepatocellularRheumatoid arthritis(RA) is a disorder with altered immunologic function and increased risk of developing malignancies, while studies examining the association between hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and RA remain lacking. The investigators aimed to investigate the risk of HCC between participants with and without RA.
Evaluation of Diagnostic Accuracy of CEUS for HCC Diagnosis
Hepatocellular CarcinomaThis study aims to compare the diagnostic accuracy of Contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) for diagnosing hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) with that of gadoxetic acid-enhanced liver magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) using non-invasive diagnostic criteria (American Association for the Study of Liver Disease (AASLD or Liver Imaging Reporting and Data System (LI-RADS) v2018 and Korean Liver Cancer Study Group- National Cancer Center Korea (KLCSG-NCC) v2018).
Blood Sample Collection to Evaluate Biomarkers for Hepatocellular Carcinoma
Hepatocellular CarcinomaHepatocellular Carcinoma SurveillanceThe primary objective of this study is to obtain de-identified, clinically-characterized whole blood specimens for use in developing and evaluating the performance of new biomarker assays for detection of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
Effects of Statin on Hepatocellular Carcinoma Recurrence After Liver Transplantation
Hepatocellular CarcinomaThis study aims to investigate whether statin therapy can help prevent recurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in transplant recipients who had liver transplantation for HCC. Multiple logistic regression analysis will be performed to evaluate the association between statin therapy and the risk of HCC recurrence after LT.
Fusion Imaging Contrast-enhanced Ultrasound LI-RADS
Hepatocellular CarcinomaCEUS LI-RASD apply to lesion visible at precontrast ultrasound but not the lesion invisible. Fusion imaging can use to invisible lesions at precontrast ultrasound in clinical practice. Thus, our aim is to explore the application value of CEUS LI-RADS in contrast-enhanced fusion imaging for focal liver lesions that are not visible on conventional ultrasound in high-risk patients with hepatocellular carcinoma.
Evaluation of Remnant Liver Function Using Primovist-enhanced MRI Before Resection/Ablation of Hepatocellular...
CarcinomaHepatocellular1 moreThe purpose of this study is to determine whether the global and segmental hepatic uptake and excretion of Gd-EOB-DTPA on Gd-EOB-DTPA-enhanced liver MRI correlates with standard liver function test results in the patients with Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) before major hepatic resection or radiofrequency ablation (RFA).
Efficacy of Loco-regional Treatment for Hepatocellular Carcinoma Prior to Living Donor Liver Transplantation...
Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC)Living Donor Liver TransplantationThis study aimed to analyze the outcomes of loco-regional treatment prior Living Donor Liver Transplantation in patients with HCC.
