A Trial to Assess the Immunogenicity and Safety of the Trivalent Virosomal Influenza Vaccine, Formulation...

Influenza

This is an open study of the use of AdimFlu-V (2012-2013 season) vaccine in non-elderly and elderly subjects. All participates will receive one dose of vaccine (0.5 ml) by intramuscular injection into the upper arm. Safety outcomes included immediate reactions at the time of vaccination, solicited local and systemic reactions for 7 days, unsolicited adverse events for 28 days, and serious adverse events. Sera prepared from blood samples will be collected from each subject immediately prior to, and 28 days after vaccination. Anti-hemagglutinin (HA) antibody titers will be determined using the WHO hemagglutination inhibition reference technique. The central laboratory who is responsible for antibody titrations will not be aware of the background of blood samples (e.g., pre- or post-serum), it is also called observer-blinded. All participates will be followed, either by clinical visit or by telephone contact, for 8 weeks after the vaccination for safety reasons.

Comparison of Immune Responses to Influenza Vaccine In Adults of Different Ages (SLVP015 2007-2017)...

Influenza

In this study the investigators are trying to understand how immune function declines in the elderly using annual influenza vaccinations as a model system. The longitudinal study began in 2007 and continued through early 2017.

A Phase III Clinical Trial of a Haemophilus Influenzae Type b (Hib) Conjugate Vaccine

Haemophilus Influenza

Haemophilus influenza type b (Hib) remains a serious global health threat associated with high mortality and morbidity in young children. In China, The overall impact of Hib-related infections and the extent of coverage of Hib conjugate vaccines are unclear.Generally, vaccination has been considered the most effective way to prevent infection against Hib.In order to evaluate safety and immunogenicity of a haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) conjugate vaccine developped by Chengdu Olymvax Biopharmaceuticals Inc. a phase III clinical trial is planned to conduct in healthy infants and children in China.

Clinical Trial Assessing the Immunologic Response to a Influenza Vaccine Delivered Using an Jet...

Influenza Prophylaxis

The primary objective of this study was to evaluate if administration of a seasonal flu vaccine using a jet injector device is comparable to traditional needle and syringe delivery for eliciting an immune response. A secondary objective was to compare the safety of the two delivery methods.

Seasonal Influenza HA DNA With Trivalent Inactivated Vaccine (TIV) Administered ID or IM in Healthy...

Influenza

This is a Phase Ib study in healthy adults (18-70 years) to evaluate the safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity of same season and sequential season vaccination schedules consisting of the 2012/2013 seasonal influenza DNA vaccine (HA DNA) and licensed trivalent influenza vaccine (TIV) administered intradermally (ID) or intramuscularly (IM). The hypothesis is that evaluation of these investigational schedules will inform development of novel influenza vaccine strategies that may offer improved and cross-protective immunity against antigenically diverse influenza strains.

Influenza

The purpose of this study is to assess the safety and immunogenicity of GSK Biologicals' investigational vaccine GSK2321138A in children who previously participated in study 115345 (FLU D-QIV-004 PRI) (NCT01439360).

Randomized Trial of High Dose Influenza Vaccine in Long Term Care Setting

Influenza

The purpose of the study is to compare the performance of two currently available influenza (flu) vaccines. This study will try and determine if the high dose flu vaccine provides protection that is the same or better than that of regular dose flu vaccine. Both the regular dose and the high dose flu vaccines are approved by the FDA for use in older adults.

H5-VLP + GLA-AF Vaccine Trial in Healthy Adult Volunteers

Influenza A Subtype H5N1 Infection

The purpose of this study is to determine the safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity in healthy adult subjects of an investigational vaccine being developed for the prevention of pandemic influenza. The vaccine, identified as H5-VLP + GLA-AF, consists of a recombinant influenza virus H5 protein (hemagglutinin from A/Indonesia/5/2005) produced in a plant-based expression system assembling into virus-like particles together with the adjuvant GLA-AF.
