Study to Assess Efficacy and Safety of XC221 200 mg in the Treatment of Influenza or Other ARVI...
InfluenzaAcute Respiratory Viral InfectionsThe innovative drug XC221 is planned for use in treatment of acute respiratory viral infections in a double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled, comparative multicenter study assessing the safety, tolerability and efficacy of XC221 at a dose of 200 mg per day in patients with uncomplicated influenza or other acute respiratory viral infections during the 3-days treatment.
Evaluating The Safety And Clinical Efficacy Of Elderberry Extract In Patients With Influenza
InfluenzaHumanThis research is being done to determine if an extract of cooked elderberries will help decrease the duration and severity of influenza symptoms in patients with confirmed influenza. Involvement in this study requires an initial patient screening at the time of their Emergency Department visit in order to confirm eligibility for the study. Once patients have been consented and enrolled as a participant, they will be randomized to take by mouth either Elderberry Extract or a placebo (a similar appearing and tasting liquid without elderberry) for a duration of 5 days. Study information regarding medication adherence, body temperature, symptoms, severity of symptoms, and any possible side effects will be collected from daily phone surveys conducted by the study coordinator. Participation in the study will end after at least 5 days once the patient has not had a temperature above 100°F and has had no influenza symptoms for at least 24 hours, or after 21 days in the study, whichever occurs first.
A Pivotal Trial to Assess the Safety and Clinical Efficacy of the M-001 as a Standalone Universal...
InfluenzaThe pivotal Phase 3 trial plans to enroll a total of approximately 12,460 participants aged 50+ over two years. Participants will be immunized twice with the M-001 universal influenza vaccine candidate or placebo and then followed for up to 2 seasons. The trial will evaluate the number of influenza cases in each group and the severity of illness during the follow up period.
Exploring Safety & Clinical Benefit of Anti-Influenza Immunoglobulin Intravenous in Hospitalized...
Influenza A H3N2Influenza A H1N1Influenza, or the flu, is an infectious respiratory disease that can range in severity from mild to severe to even death. This study aims to evaluate a treatment for people who are hospitalized with the flu. The study is looking to see if antibodies collected from people who have recovered from the seasonal flu or who have had the seasonal flu shot can be used safely as a study drug to treat hospitalized patients with severe flu infections. Also, this study will help to find the right dose for this study drug for treatment of severe flu in hospitalized patients. Overall, this study will evaluate if the hospitalized patients receiving standard of care along with the study drug get better more quickly than those treated with standard of care and placebo. The study drug that contains antibodies against the flu is called anti-influenza immunoglobulin intravenous (FLU-IGIV).
Improved Novel VaccIne CombinaTion InflUenza Study
InfluenzaA Phase IIb randomised, participant-blinded, placebo-controlled, multi-centre phase IIb efficacy study in 2030 volunteers aged 65 and over. The study will assess the safety and efficacy of the co-administration of a viral vectored vaccine, MVA- NP+M1, and the annual recommended licensed inactivated influenza vaccine (IIV). Within the main cohort 100 participants will be recruited to an immunology sub-cohort.
Vitamine D3 Supplementation in Patients With Serum Values +/- 20ng/ml
Covid19Influenza A2 moreScarce information exists in relation to the effect of supplementation of Vitamin D3 in SARS-COV-2 infection, H1N1, and A, B Influenza when 25-hydroxyvitamin levels are between 20-100ng/ml. This study will evaluate the effect of supplementation of vitamin D3 vs. dietary-hygiene measures in SARS-COV-2 , H1N1, A, B Influenza infection rate in patients with serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D3 levels >20ng/ml. A comparative randomized study that will evaluate the effect of a monthly supplementation with 52000 units of Vitamine D3 during three months vs hygienic-dietary measures in the development of respiratory infections such as COVID-19, H1N1, A, B Influenza during 6 months of follow-up in health workers from a hospital in Northern Mexico with serum vitamin D values +/- 20ng/ml. Also, patients that during screening have 25-hydroxyvitamin D3 levels <20 ng/ml will receive vitamin D supplementation according to primary care discretion for three months and will be followed for 6 months and infection rate will be analyzed and compared.

Common ColdAcute Respiratory Infection2 moreStudy to assess the efficacy and safety of XC8, film-coated tablets, 10 mg in comparison with placebo in patients with dry non-productive cough against acute respiratory infections, and to determine the dosing regimen of XC8, film-coated tablets, 10 mg for treatment of dry non-productive cough against acute respiratory infections.
Study to Assess the Immune Response and the Safety Profile of a High-Dose Quadrivalent Influenza...
Influenza ImmunizationHealthy VolunteersPrimary Objective: To demonstrate that QIV-HD induced an immune response (as assessed by hemagglutination inhibition [HAI] geometric mean titers [GMTs] and seroconversion rates) that was superior to responses induced by QIV-SD for the 4 virus strains at 28 days post-vaccination in all participants. Secondary Objective: To describe the immune response induced by QIV-HD and QIV-SD by HAI measurement method in all participants. To describe the safety profile of all participants in each study group.
