The purpose of the Patient and Provider Assessment of Lipid Management Registry (PALM) is to gain a better understanding of physicians' cholesterol medication prescribing practices, patient and physician attitudes and beliefs related to cholesterol management, and current utilization of cholesterol-lowering therapies given the new ACC/AHA guideline recommendations. The PALM Registry hopes to allow for the design of ways to improve cholesterol management and decrease the burden of cardiovascular disease (CVD) in the US.

The purpose of the study is to establish the proportion of patients on lipid-lowering pharmacological treatment reaching the LDL-C goals according to the NCEP ATP III/updated 2004 NCEP ATP III guidelines, overall and by country, to establish the proportion of patients on lipid-lowering pharmacological treatment reaching the LDL-C goals according to the NCEP ATP III/updated 2004 NCEP ATP III in the following sub-populations: Primary/secondary prevention patients. Patients with metabolic syndrome (according to NCEP III definition). And to establish the proportion of patients on lipid-lowering pharmacological treatment reaching the LDL-C goals according to the Third Joint European Task Force guidelines/national guidelines, in the survey population and in the following sub-populations: Primary/secondary prevention patients. Familial Hypercholesterolemia

The purpose of this study is to validate the use of the FH Foundation FIND FH® Algorithm as a clinical decision support tool. FIND FH (Flag/Identify/Network/Engage) is a national initiative that utilizes machine learning and data mining techniques to identify individuals whose profiles are consistent with FH patients. The algorithm will be tested in adults with at least one cardiovascular comorbidity. Hypercholesterolaemia

This is a multi-centre non-interventional study of patients who are treated with any HMGCoA reductase inhibitor available in Croatia (rosuvastatin, simvastatin, atorvastatin and fluvastatin) for at least 6 months. All HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors must be prescribed in accordance with SmPCs approved in Croatia. Data collection for each patient will take place at a single visit. The investigator will complete a Case Report Form with the patient's demographics, the presence of the factors for high cardiovascular risk, current treatment, cholesterol values as well as with further treatment decision.
