Education and dietary support are integral in managing food allergy in children. The study aim is to analyze the impact of E-learning on parental confidence in managing their child's food allergy.

The aim of the study is to produce a tolerable alternative to normal wheat bread which would be suitable for subjects with self-reported non-coeliac gluten sensitivity (NCGS). The bread would be made from wheat so, in contrast to gluten-free bread, would be more comparable to standard bread. To make this bread, the investigators will use advanced enzyme technology and/or novel formulations to target the digestion or removal of wheat proteins, which might be involved in the etiology of non-coeliac gluten sensitivity, preferentially over other those that are more useful for baking quality. The investigators will determine palatability and tolerance of this new product in a human cross-over, randomised, blind and placebo-controlled intervention study. It has been estimated 6-10% of the population are sensitive to gluten who do not have coeliac disease (CD). Three breads will be produced and tested in this study against a suitable reference based on standard wheat flour and baking process

This is a multicenter, prospective, observational study designed to determine the clinical sensitivity and specificity of the Abionic IVD CAPSULE Allergic Asthma panel performed on Abionic's abioSCOPE device using K3-EDTA anticoagulated plasma samples from atopic and non-atopic pediatric and adult patients. Patients' sensitization determined with the abioSCOPE will be compared to the clinical assessment of allergy.

This is a multicenter, prospective, observational study to evaluate the analytical performance of the Abionic IgE Multi-Allergen Test Panel on the abioSCOPE® device in a U.S. point-of-care environment within a clinical laboratory operating under a CLIA certificate for tests of moderate complexity. The study will assess point-of-care ('external') precision, sample type comparison and correlation with a reference method (Phadia Laboratory System, ThermoFisher Scientific).

Beta-lactam antibiotics include penicillin and cephalosporins and are among the most prescribed antibiotics. This category of drugs is the most involved in immediate allergic manifestations with 2% reactions in treated subjects and a fatal outcome in 1/50000 treatments. Reactions are IgE-mediated and have a considerable but unknown genetic origin, revealed by studies in groups of different ethnical origins in the same geographical region. There are also some families with a high frequency of allergic reactions without identified Mendelian inheritance. The purpose of this study is to identify predictive risk factors associated to immediate allergic reactions against beta-lactam antibiotics with a pangenomic approach. A secondary purpose is to identify rare predictive factors with homozygosity mapping and exome sequencing in various families with high risk of allergy to beta-lactam antibiotics.

The BAT II Study is a cross-sectional diagnostic study in which children with suspected IgE-mediated allergy to foods (namely cow's milk, egg, sesame and cashew), as defined by a history of an immediate-type allergic reaction to a food or no history of food consumption or the presence of food-specific IgE as documented by skin prick test or serum specific IgE, will undergo a diagnostic work-up to confirm or refute the diagnosis of IgE-mediated food allergy. Participants will be prospectively recruited from specialised Paediatric Allergy clinics in London and will undergo skin prick testing (SPT), specific IgE testing to allergen extracts and allergen components, basophil activation test (BAT) and oral food challenge. The diagnostic accuracy of the BAT and of other allergy tests will be assessed against the clinical gold-standard.

Design of this study is to collect data and review Principal Investigators standard operating procedures on allergy testing and changes made to their specific SOP.

Allergy to tree nuts are frequent in children but allergy to almond is one of the less described tree nuts allergy. The main objective of our study is to determine diagnostic values of skin prick-tests and specific IgE to almond in a population of children sensitized to almond and challenged in our unit from november 2013 to march 2020.
