Registry to Evaluate INOmax in Newborn Babies With Pulmonary Hypertension
Pulmonary Hypertension of NewbornPulmonary hypertension is high blood pressure in the arteries to the lungs. It is a serious condition. It causes the blood vessels that carry blood from the heart to the lungs to become hard and narrow. When this happens, the heart has to work harder to pump the blood through. Some babies are born with pulmonary hypertension (PH). Doctors might use INOmax (a gas the baby breathes) to help newborn babies (neonates) with PH. This study will use information from the records of registered babies to see how effective and safe INOmax is for treating premature and other newborn babies for up to 11 days after they are born.

Postpartum NSAIDS and Maternal Hypertension
PreeclampsiaGestational Hypertension2 morePrevious studies have suggested that NSAID use causes an increase in blood pressure. Further, blood pressure elevation has been noted in women with pregnancy related hypertensive disease during the postpartum period. NSAIDs remain part of standard postpartum care in women with hypertensive disease. The objective of this study is to determine whether postpartum standard care withholding NSAID use is associated with a clinically significant reduction in postpartum hypertension in women with pregnancy induced hypertension. The investigators hypothesize that women with pregnancy induced hypertensive disease will be half as likely to have blood pressure elevation of 150/100 mmHg in the first 24 hours postpartum. This study is an open label randomized trial of women with antepartum hypertension. Women will be randomized to receive standard postpartum care or standard postpartum care without NSAIDs. Blood pressure measurements and patient outcomes will be recorded. The study period will begin at the time of delivery and will end at the time of hospital discharge.

Hypertension Approaches in the Elderly: a Lifestyle Study
HypertensionTwo-center randomized, parallel, controlled trial which will compare a pragmatic combined training program with a health education program in 184 older adults with hypertension. This study will last 12 weeks with assessments conducted at baseline, previously to the group allocation, and after interventions. There is a set of secondary outcomes which show clinical importance to the elderly population and are possibly influenced by the tested intervention.

The Efficacy of the Acupuncture in the Treatment of Systemic Arterial Hypertension
Arterial HypertensionThere are few studies in the treatment of hypertension employing acupuncture as a blood pressure regulating technique. The Ministry of Health synthesized the inclusion of integrative and complementary practices within the Unique Health System, such as acupuncture. Our objective is to verify the effect of the acupuncture session on hypertensive patients, measured through ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM). In this way two groups of patients will be selected in a randomized clinical trial. In the first group, Chinese traditional acupuncture will be applied and in the second group the acupuncture sham will be applied.

Randomized Controlled Trial of Renal Denervation for Resistant Hypertension
HypertensionHypertension represents a significant global public health problem, contributing to vascular and renal morbidity, cardiovascular mortality, and economic burden. For a mostly asymptomatic disease, there is a huge challenge to maintain a good adherence and longtime persistence of drug use so as to adequately control it. Even so, a significant proportion of patients will develop resistant hypertension. In recent years, renal denervation has been argued as an effective means to address blood pressure problem in several non-Chinese clinical trials. The technique is to deliver low level radiofrequency energy through the renal artery wall to target the sympathetic nervous system and then modulate blood pressure. Shanghai WiseGain Medical Devices Co., LTD has developed the WiseGo Catheter System, which is an irrigated radiofrequency ablation Catheter. With this Catheter, it is expected to improve blood pressure status among patients with resistant hypertension failing polypharmacy. The purpose of this randomized control trial is to obtain an assessment of the efficacy and safety of WiseGo renal denervation technique in the presence of three standard antihypertensive medications in Chinese patients.

Comparison of Optimal Hypertension Regimens
HypertensionHigh blood pressure (Hypertension) is extremely common and is a major cause of heart disease, kidney disease and stroke. One in three of the UK (United Kingdom) population will require treatment for hypertension at some point in their lives. A healthy lifestyle alone is often not enough to control blood pressure, and drug treatment is usually required. Although a wide variety of drugs are available to treat hypertension, choosing the right kind of tablet or combination of tablets for individual patients is a problem, and therefore many people have poor blood pressure control. Hypertension treatment within the UK is currently selected according to age and self-defined ethnicity (SDE). There are limitations to this approach which include wide variability in the response to hypertension drug classes between people. There is also uncertainty about selecting hypertension drugs for ethnic minorities other than those of African/Caribbean ancestry, for example, South Asians because of a lack of information from trials. In the AIM HY-INFORM study the investigators are looking to recruit equal number of black/caribbean, south asian and white european participants to be able to compare differences in hypertension treatments and ethnicity. The primary objective of this study is to determine if the response to antihypertensive drugs differs by self defined ethnicity.

Impact of Self-monitoring of Salt Intake by Salt Meter in Hypertensive Patients
HypertensionSalt; ExcessHypertension is one of the most common chronic medical conditions. The concerned sequelae are the cardiovascular complications, especially acute myocardial infarction and stroke. In Thailand, the incidence of hypertension is increasing each year. Many clinical studies found that salt intake over the reference level (>5 g/day) would result in elevated blood pressure (BP) and long-term morbidity. Dietary salt reduction campaigns were unsuccessful, in part, due to time limitation in the clinic, lacking of awareness, and the higher threshold to detect salt taste in chronic high salt ingestion. Salt meter is a device used to detect sodium content in daily food. It will facilitate monitoring and control of salt intake. The 24-hour urinary sodium excretion is an acceptable method to reflect the quantity of sodium intake. This study aimed to compare the efficacy of salt meter plus dietary education compared with education alone in terms of salt intake reduction, blood pressure, salt taste sensitivity, and vascular consequence.

VASCULAR AND RENAL IMPACT OF ENDOTHELIN-1 RECEPTOR BLOCKADE IN PATIENTS WITH RESISTANT ARTERIAL...
Resistant HypertensionThe management of patients with resistant arterial hypertension, who are characterized by a very high cardiovascular risk, remains a major therapeutic issue. The use of endothelin-1 (ET-1) receptor antagonists, in addition to lowering blood pressure, may also improve endothelial function in these patients. The objective of this study is to assess the vascular impact of an ET-1 receptor antagonist on vascular function and systemic and central hemodynamics in patients with resistant arterial hypertension and ensure their good renal tolerance.
