Phase II Study of Concurrent C225, Cisplatin and Radiation in Stage IV Squamous Cell Carcinoma of...
Head and Neck CancerRATIONALE: Monoclonal antibodies such as cetuximab can locate tumor cells and either kill them or deliver tumor-killing substances to them without harming normal cells. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cisplatin, work in different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to damage tumor cells. Cetuximab may make the tumor cells more sensitive to radiation therapy and chemotherapy. Giving monoclonal antibody therapy together with chemoradiotherapy may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well giving cetuximab and cisplatin together with radiation therapy works in treating patients with locally advanced or regional stage IV head and neck cancer that cannot be removed by surgery.

Stage IV Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the HypopharynxStage IV Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Larynx2 moreThis phase II trial is studying how well FR901228 works in treating patients with unresectable recurrent or metastatic squamous cell carcinoma (cancer) of the head and neck. Drugs used in chemotherapy such as FR901228 work in different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die.
Cetuximab (Erbitux) in Combination With Cisplatin or Carboplatin and 5-Fluorouracil in the First...
Head and Neck CancerThe purpose of this trial is to investigate the efficacy of cetuximab in combination with chemotherapy in comparison to chemotherapy alone in patients with recurrent or metastatic head and neck cancer. Overall survival will be taken as the primary measure of efficacy.
Study of Taxotere, Cisplatin, 5-Fluorouracil, and Leucovorin for Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the...
Squamous Cell CarcinomaCarcinoma of Head and/or NeckThe purpose of this study is to determine the safety and maximum tolerated dose of the combination taxotere, cisplatin, 5-fluorouracil and leucovorin. We will also preliminarily assess whether the combination is effective in treating squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck.
Erlotinib, Docetaxel, and Radiation Therapy in Treating Patients With Locally Advanced Head and...
Metastatic Squamous Neck Cancer With Occult Primary Squamous Cell CarcinomaStage III Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Hypopharynx25 moreDrugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Erlotinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking the enzymes necessary for tumor cell growth. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to damage tumor cells. Combining erlotinib with docetaxel may make the tumor cells more sensitive to radiation therapy and may kill more tumor cells. Phase I trial to study the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) of combining erlotinib with docetaxel and radiation therapy in treating patients who have locally advanced head and neck cancer
Chemotherapy and Radiation Therapy in Treating Patients With Stage III or Stage IV Larynx or Oropharynx...
Head and Neck CancerRATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to damage tumor cells. Combining chemotherapy with radiation therapy may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of combination chemotherapy followed by radiation therapy and chemotherapy in treating patients who have stage III or stage IV cancer of the larynx or stage III or stage IV cancer of the oropharynx.

Squamous Cell Carcinoma of Head and NeckBasal Cell Carcinoma of SkinStudy to evaluate the use of confocal microscopy for detecting resection margins in patients undergoing surgery for basal cell carcinoma of skin and squamous Cell Carcinoma of Head and Neck
PDE5 Inhibition Via Tadalafil to Enhance Anti-Tumor Mucin 1 (MUC1) Vaccine Efficacy in Patients...
Head and Neck Squamous Cell CarcinomaHead and Neck CancerThe investigators hypothesize that Tadalafil treatment, by lowering Myeloid Derived Suppressor Cells (MDSCs) and regulatory T cells (Tregs), can prime an antitumor immune response and promote a permissive environment that should increase the efficacy of anti-tumor vaccine in a setting of minimal residual disease.
Study of HPV Specific Immunotherapy in Participants With HPV Associated Head and Neck Squamous Cell...
Head and Neck Squamous Cell CancerThis is a Phase I/IIa, open-label study to evaluate the safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity of INO-3112 DNA vaccine delivered by electroporation (EP) to participants with human papilloma virus (HPV) associated head and neck squamous cell cancer (HNSCC).
Dose-finding Study of Metformin With Chemoradiation in Locally Advanced Head and Neck Squamous Cell...
Head and Neck CancerThe purpose of this research study is to test the safety of adding metformin to standard of care. The standard of care treatment will be cisplatin once every 3 weeks for 3 treatments and radiation for 7 weeks. Metformin is a medication that is currently used to treat diabetes. Increasing amounts of metformin will be given to groups of patients already receiving normal treatment for their cancer to see if metformin causes any good effects by killing your cancer or bad effects (side effects).
