A Trial Evaluating Compatibility and Safety of FIAsp and Insulin Aspart With an External Continuous...
DiabetesDiabetes Mellitus1 moreThis trial is conducted in Europe and the United States of America (USA). The aim of this trial is to evaluate compatibility and safety of FIAsp (faster-acting insulin aspart) and insulin aspart (NovoRapid®) with an external continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion (CSII) system in adult subjects with type 1 diabetes.
Protective Effects of Saxagliptin (And Vitamin D3) on β Cell Function in Adult-onset Latent Autoimmune...
Diabetes MellitusType 1The main purpose of this study is to evaluate whether saxagliptin or (and vitamin D3) with metformin (and insulin) therapy can better protect islet β cell function than metformin(and insulin) .
A Trial to Test for Bioequivalence Between NN1045 and NN5401 in Subjects With Type 1 Diabetes
DiabetesDiabetes Mellitus1 moreThis trial is conducted in Europe. The aim of the trial is to test for bioequivalence between two formulations of insulin degludec/insulin aspart (IDegAsp) to see if the efficacy and safety obtained with formulation 1 can be assumed identical for formulation 2.
Effect of Fiber Supplementation in Children With Type 1 Diabetes
Type 1 DiabetesHigh fiber foods are recommended as a preferential source of carbohydrate by the Nutrition Study Group of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes. Dietary fibers may delay glucose absorption and reduce postprandial glycemic excursion. They also appear to have a beneficial effect on cholesterol levels. It has been shown, in few short term adult studies, that high fiber foods reduce postprandial blood glucose levels. The American Diabetes Association feels that there is little evidence confirming the positive effect of high fiber foods on blood glucose control. It is not clear whether a high fiber diet can improve glycemic control and/or reduce the risk of hypoglycemic events. Our hypothesis is that children with type 1 diabetes will benefit from having added fibers in their diet. The investigators plan to study blood glucose values using a continuous blood glucose monitor before and after dietary fibers are introduced. This will help us determine whether a diet rich in fiber should be recommended in all children with type 1 diabetes mellitus
Study to Assess Pharmacodynamics of RM-131 in Patients With Diabetic Gastroparesis
Diabetes Mellitus Type 1 and 2Diabetes Mellitus Complications2 moreThe purpose of this study is to evaluate the pharmacodynamic (PD) and pharmacokinetic (PK) profile and the safety and tolerability of RM-131 in patients with diabetes mellitus and delayed gastric emptying.
Safety and Efficacy of Empagliflozin (BI 10773) in Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus Patients With or Without...
Diabetes MellitusType 1This open-label study aims to evaluate the impact of BI 10773 treatment on glomerular filtration rate under controlled conditions of euglycaemia and hyperglycaemia in subjects with type 1 diabetes mellitus with or without renal hyperfiltration and to characterize the safety and efficacy of BI 10773 25 mg QD as add-on therapy to insulin in these subjects.
Closing the Loop in Adults With Type 1 Diabetes in the Home Setting
Type 1 Diabetes MellitusThe main study objective is to compare real-time continuous subcutaneous glucose monitoring (CGM) combined with overnight automated closed-loop glucose control, and real-time CGM alone in the home setting.
Can Glucose Monitoring Improve (CGMi Study)
Type 1 DiabetesThe purpose of this 2-year randomized controlled trial (RCT) is to implement and evaluate a family-focused behavioral teamwork intervention aimed at overcoming barriers to sustained continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) use in youth with type 1 diabetes (T1D). We hypothesize that CGM implemented with a family-focused, behavioral teamwork intervention will result in sustained CGM use and greater improvement in A1c compared to routine implementation of CGM.
Pilot Study 1 of Outpatient Control-to-Range - System and Monitoring Testing
Type 1 Diabetes MellitusA single arm, single treatment study is proposed to assess the feasibility of a portable artificial pancreas system outside of a hospital based clinical research center. Adult T1DM patients will use a newly developed platform in conjunction with a subcutaneous insulin infusion pump and a continuous glucose monitor for 18 hours is quasi free conditions (hotel).
The Effects of Metformin on Glycemic Control and Insulin Sensitivity in Adolescents With T1DM
Diabetes MellitusType 1The investigators intends to carry out a randomized, cross-over, prospective study which will last 48 weeks in youth with T1DM followed up by the center. The purpose is to observe the effects of metformin on glycemic control and insulin sensitivity in adolescents with T1DM based on insulin therapy by using 72h CGMS and hyperinsulinemic euglycemic clamps.
