A Study to Evaluate the Efficacy, Safety and Pharmacokinetics of Treprostinil Palmitil Inhalation...
Pulmonary Arterial HypertensionThe main objective of the study is to assess the effect of treprostinil palmitil inhalation powder (TPIP) compared with placebo on pulmonary vascular resistance.
Study of Efficacy and Safety of LTP001 in Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension
Pulmonary Arterial HypertensionThe purpose of this study is to explore the efficacy and safety of LTP001 in participants with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) to determine if LTP001 has an adequate clinical profile to warrant further clinical development in this indication.
Treatment With Ambrisentan in Patients With Borderline Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension
Pulmonary Arterial HypertensionAn Investigator initiated trial (IIT) using a prospective, randomized, double-blind, parallel group, placebo-controlled, clinical study design.
Pulmonary Hypertension: Intensification and Personalisation of Combination Rx
Pulmonary Arterial HypertensionThe goal of this clinical trial is to evaluate the capacity of implantable/remote technology for early evaluation of drug therapies in patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). The main question it aims to answer is whether structured changes in clinical therapy will be detectable using implanted regulatory approved devices. Participants will will be implanted with approved medical devices and will enter into a study of approved drugs to assess physiology, activity and patient reported quality-of-life (QoL) outcomes. Researchers will compare two therapeutic strategies in each individual patient to see if the study design provides enough evidence to personalise drug treatment plans
A Study of Sotatercept in Participants With PAH WHO FC III or FC IV at High Risk of Mortality (MK-7962-006/ZENITH)...
Pulmonary Arterial HypertensionThe objective of this study is to evaluate the effects of sotatercept (MK-7962, formerly called ACE-011) treatment (plus maximum tolerated background pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) therapy) versus placebo (plus maximum tolerated background PAH therapy) on time to first event of all cause death, lung transplantation, or PAH worsening-related hospitalization of ≥24 hours, in participants with World Health Organization (WHO) functional class (FC) III or FC IV PAH at high risk of mortality.
A Long-term Follow-up Study of Sotatercept for PAH Treatment (MK-7962-004/A011-12)
Pulmonary Arterial HypertensionPAHThis study is being conducted to assess the long-term safety, tolerability, and efficacy of sotatercept (MK-7962, formerly called ACE-011) in participants with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH). This open-label, long-term follow-up (LTFU) study is supported by data from the PULSAR study (Phase 2, NCT03496207) in which treatment with sotatercept resulted in hemodynamic and functional improvements in the study participants, including those receiving maximal PAH therapy with double/triple drug combinations and intravenous prostacyclin. The primary objective of this open-label, LTFU study is to evaluate the long-term safety and tolerability of sotatercept when added to background PAH therapy in adult participants with PAH who have completed prior sotatercept studies. The secondary objective is to evaluate continued efficacy in adult participants with PAH who have completed prior sotatercept studies.
A Study of the Efficacy and Safety of MK-5475 in Participants With Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension...
Pulmonary Arterial HypertensionHypertension1 moreThis is a two-part (Phase 2/Phase 3) study of MK-5475, an inhaled soluble guanylate cyclase stimulator, in participants with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). The first part (Phase 2) will assess three different doses of MK-5475 compared to placebo in a base period of 12 weeks, followed by comparison of three different doses of MK-5475 during an optional 24 month extension period. The treatment dose with the best efficacy and safety profile in the phase 2 cohort base period will be selected for use in the second part (Phase 3) of the study. The primary hypothesis of Phase 2 is that at least one MK-5475 dose is superior to placebo in reducing pulmonary vascular resistance (PVR) from baseline at week 12. The purpose of the second part (Phase 3) of the study is to confirm the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of MK-5475 at the selected dose compared to placebo during a 12 week base period followed by an extension period of up to 5 years. The primary hypothesis of Phase 3 is that MK-5475 is superior to placebo in increasing 6-minute walk distance (6MWD) from baseline at week 12.
Study of Sotatercept in Newly Diagnosed Intermediate- and High-Risk PAH Participants (MK-7962-005/A011-13)...
Pulmonary Arterial HypertensionThe objective of this study is to evaluate the effects of sotatercept (MK-7962, formerly called ACE-011) treatment (plus background pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) therapy) versus placebo (plus background PAH therapy) on time to clinical worsening (TTCW) in participants who are newly diagnosed with PAH and are at intermediate or high risk of disease progression.
