Chronic Hepatitis C Infection

This phase 2b study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of 16 and 24 weeks of response-guided duration of therapy with GS-9190 and GS-9256 in combination with Peginterferon Alfa-2a (Pegasys®) and Ribavirin (Copegus®). Additionally, the efficacy and safety of 24 weeks of GS-9256 in combination with Peginterferon Alfa-2a (Pegasys®) and Ribavirin (Copegus®) will be evaluated.

The purpose of this study is to determine whether bladder catheterization can be safely avoided in patients admitted to the hospital with stroke using a nursing protocol, and whether this decreases the incidence of urinary tract infections. The investigators hypothesize that the protocol will be tolerated by nurses and patients, and that patients without bladder catheters will have fewer urinary tract infections and better outcomes.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate how two different aerosol medications may improve airway function in infants with respiratory illness. We are using two different medications and comparing the difference in lung function after each medication. We will also be taking a nasal wash sample for VEGF. We will be using this in comparing how infants respond to the aerosol medications as well. We hope to help standardize medications used for infants with bronchiolitis and RSV.
