HOME-CoV: Hospitalization or Outpatient ManagEment of Patients With a SARS-CoV-2 Infection
Coronavirus InfectionCOVID-19 pandemic has developed worldwide in less than 4 months. The clinical presentations are variable widely, ranging from simple rhinitis to major lung damage that can lead to death. In many countries involved in the ongoing health disaster due to SARS-CoV-2 infection, hospital are overloaded. In this context, the decision to hospitalize or to manage COVID-19 patients at home is crucial and defining reliable and consensual criteria is a major issue. HOME-CoV study is a multicentre quasi-experimental interventional study, before and after implementation of a help-decision making rule (HOME-CoV rule), developed via the Delphi method. Our main hypothesis is that a strategy based on the consensual HOME-CoV rule compared to current practice is at least as safe as regards the 7-day-rate of adverse events (safety criterion) and more effective as regards the rate of patients eventually managed as outpatients (efficacy criterion).

Chloroquine Diphosphate in the Prevention of SARS in Covid-19 Infection
COVID-19SARS-CoV Infection2 moreThis is a double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial. A total of 210 individuals aged over 18 years old, without a diagnosis of severe respiratory disease, who came to the study site with clinical and radiological suspicion of SARS-CoV2, will be randomized into two treatment groups at a 1:1 ratio to receive a 5-day CQ diphosphate tablets or placebo (tablet without active ingredient produced with the same physical characteristics).

Prospective Study in Patients With Advanced or Metastatic Cancer and SARS-CoV-2 Infection
SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) InfectionAdvanced or Metastatic Hematological or Solid TumorA prospective, controlled, randomized, multicenter study whose goal is to compare the efficacy of an autophagy inhibitor (GNS561), an anti-NKG2A (monalizumab) and an anti-C5aR (avdoralimab) versus standard of care in patients with advanced or metastatic cancer who have Sars-CoV-2 infection not eligible to a resuscitation unit. According to their severity level at the time of enrolment, eligible patients will be randomized into 2 different cohorts: COHORT 1 (mild symptoms or asymptomatic): GNS561 vs anti-NKG2A vs standard of care (randomization ratio 1:1:1). COHORT 2 (moderate/severe symptoms): anti-C5aR vs standard of care (randomization ratio 1:1).

Assessing the Performance of Shotgun Metagenomics in the Diagnosis of Complex Prosthetic Joint Infections...
Prosthetic Joint InfectionThe objectiveof this of a prospective, multicentre study is to evaluate the performance of shotgun metagenomics in the diagnosis of chronic Prosthetic joint infection (PJI) in comparison with the adapted MSIS diagnostic score.. The main questions it aims to answer are: To evaluate the performance of shotgun metagenomics in the diagnosis of chronic PJI in comparison with culture. To describe the epidemiology of bacterial species responsible for chronic PJI in Western France and their potential resistance to antibiotics. Analyzing the diagnostic performance of shotgun culture and metagenomics as a function of potentially administered antibiotic treatments A total of 143 patients sampled will be included. Six intraoperative samples will be taken for each patient, as part of routine care. In addition to the standard preoperative check-up, an extra volume of blood will be taken for CRP measurement at inclusion.

Evaluation of Efficacy and Safety of Two New Formulations Compared to Gynomax® XL Ovule
Trichomonal VaginitisBacterial Vaginosis2 moreEfficacy and safety of two new formulations compared to Gynomax® XL ovule in the treatment of trichomonal vaginitis, bacterial vaginosis, candidal vulvovaginitis and mixed vaginal infections was evaluated in this randomized, three-arms, multicentral study.

The Effect of Time Intervals for Rescue Treatment on Eradication Effect of Helicobacter Pylori Infection...
Helicobacter Pylori InfectionThe researchers collect patients who accepted eradication program of the helicobacter pylori but failed to eradicate helicobacter pylor from the outpatient clinic. After rescue therapy, evaluating the effect of retreatment interval on eradication effect of Helicobacter pylori infection.

Effect of an Antiseptic Solution on the Skin Microbiome
Skin DiseasesInfectiousThe objective of this study is simulate the clinical use of an antiseptic solution in a 24 hour window and the recovery to baseline conditions at 1 month following application. Efficacy will be simulated as the capacity of the material to reduce or clear the skin bacterial population from a representative skin area: the anteromedial forearm.

High Dose Dual Therapy vs Clarithromycin Triple Therapy for Treatment Naive H Pylori Infection in...
Helicobacter Pylori InfectionA phase 4 prospective, randomized, open-label clinical trial evaluating the efficacy of high dose dual therapy vs standard triple therapy in a diverse, urban New York City population.

Inhibition of Bradykinin in COVID-19 Infection With Icatibant
SARS CoV 2 InfectionThere is excess accumulation of bradykinin during symptomatic SARS CoV-2 lung infection. Bradykinin causes oedema in the lung, with reduced oxygen. It also causes vasodilation, hypotension and cytokine release.

PLGA Nanoparticles Entrapping Ciprofloxacin to Treat E-Fecalis Infections in Endodontics
Bacterial Infections OralPLGA nanoparticles coated with Chitosan polymer were prepared and then incorporated in In -situ gel to be injected to root canals of patients suffered from bacterial infection of their endodontics.
