CMV IGG Antibodies in Semen as a Predictor for Blood Testis Barrier Damage
Male InfertilityTo assess whether the presence of Cytomegalovirus (CMV) Immunoglobulin G (IGG) antibodies in semen is a reliable predictor of male subfertility or infertility.
Mobile Phone Messaging to Improve Reproductive Health for Women Living With HIV in Kenya (Mobile...
HivContraception1 moreUse of a mobile health (mHealth) intervention to provide reproductive life counseling to women living with HIV may improve delivery of integrated reproductive health/HIV services and prevent adverse reproductive health outcomes. The proposed study will evaluate SMS platform and reproductive health counseling intervention in a cluster randomized controlled trial among women receiving routine HIV care, and plan for future implementation with qualitative and health economic analyses.
Comparison of 3 Different Protocols for Preventing Premature Ovulation in Ovarian Stimulation Cycles...
InfertilityThe aim of study is to evaluate the results of three different protocols for prevention of premature ovulation in ovarian stimulation cycles. All patients that undergo IVF cycles are randomly divided into three groups. The first group is cetrorelix, the second group is medroxyprogesterone acetate and the third group is dydrogesterone.
Endometriosis and Chronic Endometritis
EndometriosisPelvic Pain1 morePelvic endometriosis is a complex estrogen-dependent inflammatory syndrome of unknown etiology, altering the microenvironment of the peritoneal cavity and probably endometrial receptivity, and adversely affecting the physiological processes associated with fertilization. Literature data suggest that the distribution of immune system cells in the eutopic endometrium in the presence of endometriosis differs from the physiological state. The functioning of the immune system seems to be significantly modified not only in the foci of endometriosis, but also in the eutopic endometrium, affecting its physiological functions. Chronic endometritis (CE) is a potential factor impairing endometrial receptivity in the course of endometriosis. However, it is not known whether CE is one of the complications of endometriosis or perhaps an element of its pathogenesis. At the moment, endometrial diagnostics is not obligatory in the treatment of endometriosis in women of reproductive age, but it could potentially bring additional benefits and contribute to the improvement of obstetric results and increase the effectiveness of infertility treatment in women with endometriosis.
Immuno-epidemiological and Socio-behavioral Evaluation of Release of Sterile Male Aedes Albopictus...
Mosquito BiteThis trial is based on 2 complementary components, named ExpAlbo Biomarker and CAPAlbo Questionnaire ExpAlbo Biomarker (Exposure to the Aedes albopictus mosquito): This component concerns the epidemiological evaluation of the effectiveness of the release of sterile male mosquitoes on the level of exposure of individuals to the bites of the tiger mosquito through the use of a new immunological biomarker of the human-vector contact, developed over the past 20 years by the IRD-MIVEGEC team. Indeed, when a person is bitten by a mosquito, he or she develops a defence reaction, called an immune reaction, against the mosquito's saliva. The main objective of this study is to measure this immune response, and more specifically the antibody response specifically directed against compounds (peptide = small fragment of a protein) in mosquito saliva, and to determine whether this anti-saliva antibody response, and therefore exposure to mosquito bites, decreases when the mosquito control strategy is applied. CAPAlbo Questionnaire: This component is concerned with assessing the impact of sterile male mosquito releases on perceptions and practices related to exposure to Aedes albopictus based on population-based questionnaire surveys. The main objective of these surveys is to determine whether changes in objective exposure to Aedes albopictus mosquitoes are associated with changes in the perception of the nuisance and in the lifestyle habits of respondents, particularly those related to the prevention of mosquito bites (such as the use of repellents or mosquito nets).
Reproductive Outcome After Sperm Selection for Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) Using Zona...
InfertilityMaleThe aim of this study is to analyze the effect of a sperm selection method by adhesion to partners' zona pellucida proteins on the assisted reproduction treatment (ART) outcome parameters.
Risk of Infertility Related to Adjuvant Chemotherapy for Early Breast Cancer: Oocyte/Embryo Cryopreservation...
Breast CancerThe aim of the study is to perform a French multicenter prospective interventional study in order to assess the feasibility and safety of ovarian hyperstimulation for oocyte / embryo cryopreservation in young women with breast cancer. The oncologic and reproductive benefit / risk ratio will be investigated in the oncology and reproductive area.

AneuploidyChromosome Abnormality1 moreChromosomal aneuploidies are linked with spontaneous miscarriages and abnormal offspring in human pregnancies. In addition, some types of aneuploidies are reported to prevent implantation. Thus, there is a need to identify the embryos with highest implantation potential on in vitro fertilization (IVF) programs. Since embryo morphology and kinetics have a weak association with embryo ploidy, trophectoderm biopsy plus Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) is becoming a very popular approach to determine the embryo chromosomal status. This technique is called Preimplantation Genetic Testing for Aneuploidy (PGT-A). Although shown to be efficient, it is invasive for the embryo, requires specific technical skills and it remains expensive. Therefore, the development of a non-invasive, rapid and cheaper method for assessing embryo ploidy status would represent a progress in the field of IVF. The non-invasive approach has been explored by some groups that analyzed the Spent Blastocyst Medium (SBM) where the embryo was incubated up to the time of transfer or freezing. In daily routine, this media is discarded after finishing the culture of the embryo. Importantly, though, this media reportedly contains traces of embryonic cell-free DNA (cfDNA) that can represent the genetic load of the embryo. On the basis of that, the hypothesis of this study is that embryo prioritization according to the analysis of the embryonic cfDNA in the SBM could improve ongoing pregnancy rate in 10 percentual points compared to standard blastocyst transfer based on morphology.
Effect of Prophylactic Antibiotics for Hysterosalpingography on Post Procedure Morbidity
InfertilityFemale1 moreThe study will be a parallel randomised trial. There are two groups. The first group will be given prophylactic antibiotics before a procedure (hysterosalpingography) and the second group will be given a placebo(multivitamin). Outcomes will then be assessed.
Embryo Selection by Noninvasive Preimplantation Genetic Test
InfertilityChromosome AbnormalityThe objective of this study is to explore whether non-invasive chromosome screening (NICS) can be used as an effective indicator for embryos selection besides morphology through a multicenter randomized controlled trial, by comparing the differences of live birth rate, pregnancy rate and miscarriage rate between the two groups of embryo selection by "NICS+ morphology" and embryo selection only by "morphology" in IVF cycle.
