Assessment of Blood and Follicular Fluid Immune Cell Constitution in Patients Undergoing in Vitro...
InfertilityFemaleThe etiology of infertility in the majority of patients with poor response to ovarian stimulation remains unknown. This study will investigate the role of immune cells (T cells, B cells, dendritic cells and NK cells), that constitute the immune system which normally fights infection and cancer. We, the investigators, have found that specialized NK cells that help with new blood vessel formation, are found in the fluid surrounding the egg during IVF, only in patients with good response to ovarian stimulation. We now wish to expand our studies and correlate our findings to ovarian blood flow , as measured by 3D ultrasound and to the presence of other cells in the immune system.
Abundance of Lactobacillus in Endometrium Affected by Chronic Endometritis
Non Specific Chronic EndometritisInfertility1 moreInfertile women undergoing hysteroscopy for diagnostic or therapeutic indication are asked to donate a sample of endometrium. Endometrial samples of study participants are examined for signs of chronic endometritis by immunohistochemical analysis. High-throughput sequencing of the microbial 16s ribosomal ribonucleic acid (rRNA) subunit is performed to identify and quantify the microbes present in the sample. Obstetric and reproductive outcome is recorded 12 months after hysteroscopy (telephone interview).
Women's Quality of Life, Sexual Life and Psychological State in Patients Undergoing Embryo Transfers...
InfertilityFemale4 moreWomen's quality of life, sexual life and psychological state would affect the success of embryo transfer. The primary purpose of the study is to compare women's quality of life, sexual life and psychological state using validated forms between those undergoing fresh embryo transfer and those undergoing frozen embryo transfer.
Abstinence Period and Semen Quality
InfertilityMaleDoes period of abstinence impact progressive motility in oligoasthenoteratozoospermic (OATS) males? In the evaluation of male fertility, semen analysis is an important investigation. An abstinence between 2 and 7 days before a diagnostic semen analysis has been recommended by WHO (WHO 2010 guidelines), for the sake of standardization. The European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology advises 3-4 days of abstinence before a semen analysis. The exact impact of abstinence period on sperm quality is a little complex and difficult to interpret. This study, 250 men with low sperm counts, motility and morphology will be recruited. The results will be analyzed to ascertain the impact of shorter abstinence period on semen quality
Apical Pelvic Support in Infertility Patients
InfertilityFemale2 moreThis study aims to evaluate apical pelvic compartment support in infertility patients at the time of hysteroscopy. Apical pelvic compartment evaluation for pelvic organ prolapse will be performed in infertility patients undergoing hysteroscopy.
Medically Assisted Procreation and Choice of the Embryo: How Far Would French People Like to go...
InfertilityIn today's context of bioethics laws revision concerning Medically Assisted Procreation, the investigators focus on the opinion of couples resorting to In Vitro Fertilization on a fundamental, much debated issue ; the choice of the embryo. French lawmakers fear the investigators might be drifting towards embryo selection procedures, but no study allows us to state this is what patients request. This study aims at determining, among the population of patients who resort to Medically Assisted Procreation in France, the ratio of patients who are willing to select the embryo due to its genetic characteristics.
Vitamin D Level vs Semen Parameters
Male InfertilityInfertility is defined as the inability of a sexually active couple to conceive after 1 year of regular intercourse without contraception, affects approximately 15% of couples, and male factors are the cause in 20% -50% of cases. Infertility of unknown origin is classified into idiopathic male infertility and unexplained male infertility according to semen quality.
The Difference Seen in Granulosa Cells and Immature Oocytes in IVF Treated Patients Sorted by Body...
InfertilityFemaleThis study aims to discover the connection between BMI and oocyte and granulosa consistencies.
Protein S Activity in Women With Unexplained Infertility
Unexplained Female InfertilityThis study will add: Finding out an association between Protein S activity and unexplained female infertility. Aim: Study hypothesis: In women with unexplained infertility protein S activity may be low. Study question: In women with unexplained infertility does protein S activity low?. This study aims to assess the activity of protein S activity in women with unexplained infertility. Objectives: The main objective of this study is: To determine the prevalence of Protein S activity with unexplained female infertility and to compare its prevalence in fertile women among women attending outpatient clinics at Ain Shams University Maternity Hospital.
Assessment of Endometrial Pattern and Sub-endometrial Vascularity in ICSI Outcome
InfertilityDespite constant progress in in vitro fertilization (IVF) techniques and ovarian stimulation, pregnancy and embryo implantation rates remain modest . The phenomenon of embryo implantation depends both on the embryo itself and on endometrial receptivity
