A Study Comparing MENOPUR in a Pen Formulation With a Powder and Solvent Formulation in Healthy...
InfertilityFemaleMENOPUR is a human menotrophin product, with a combination of human follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) activity. Human chorionic gonadotrophin (hCG) is the major contributor to the LH activity in the product. MENOPUR is approved in more than 130 countries for a variety of strengths and indications. In China, MENOPUR, 75 IU is approved for controlled ovarian hyperstimulation in relation to assisted reproductive technology (ART). The current trial is intended for supporting marketing authorization approval of a new formulation of MENOPUR in China. MENOPUR is currently available in China as a powder and solvent for solution for injection, containing 75 IU of FSH and 75 IU of LH activity. A new liquid formulation is developed by Ferring Pharmaceuticals for administration with a disposable pre-filled injection pen, containing 600 IU of FSH and 600 IU of LH activity. MENOPUR solution for injection in pre-filled pen, 600 IU/0.96 mL is the test product and MENOPUR powder and solvent for solution for injection, 75 IU is the reference product in this trial.
Effect of GnRH Agonist vs GnRH Antagonist on IVF/ICSI Outcomes.
In Vitro FertilizationIntracytoplasmic Sperm Injection1 moreThe aim of this prospective, non-randomised, open-label, clinical trial is to compare the effects of two pituitary suppression regimens; GnRH Agonist-Long Protocol and GnRH Antagonist-Flexible Protocol on clinical and embryological IVF/ICSI outcomes, and on the follicular fluid levels of Placental Growth Factor (PlGF); which is known for his pivotal role in the regulation of ovulation, embryo development, and implantation.

Effect of Psychological Intervention on Drop-out Rates in IVF
InfertilityThe most common reason why insured In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) patients drop out of treatment is the distress caused by the treatment. The objective of this study is to determine the efficacy of a combined Cognitive Coping and Relaxation Intervention (CCRI) in reducing drop out behavior in IVF patients.
Metformin in High Responder Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) Patients Undergoing IVF Cycles
InfertilityPolycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)The use of metformin pre-treatment and co-administration was recently proposed in infertile women affected by polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) treated with gonadotropins. Data from meta-analyses showed that metformin administration significantly reduced the stimulation length and the total dose of gonadotropins used in PCOS women undergoing gonadotropins stimulation for non in-vitro fertilization (IVF) cycles. On the other hand, in IVF cycles metformin was demonstrated to significantly reduce the ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) rate in infertile patients with PCOS treated with gonadotropins. The metformin regulating effect on the ovarian response was also observed in a randomized controlled trial (RCT) on young non-obese insulin-resistant women with PCOS receiving gonadotropins for mono-ovulation induction. In particular, metformin increased the mono-ovulatory cycles, the duration of stimulation and the amount of gonadotropins used, while it reduced the number of dominant follicles and the estradiol (E2) levels. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the effect of metformin administration in high responder PCOS patients undergoing gonadotropins ovarian stimulation for IVF cycles.
