Retest-reliability and At-home-assessment Feasibility of the 5R-STS
Degenerative Disc DiseaseSpondylolisthesis5 moreThe five-repetition sit-to-stand test has been validated and is used primarily in pulmonary medicine and cardiology, and has recently been shown to be a useful tool for the objective assessment of functional impairment in patients with degenerative diseases of the lumbar spine. The goal of this study is to assess the possibility of supervised and unsupervised at-home-assessment. Validation of at-home-assessment would allow the 5R-STS to be easily used as a follow-up tool in clinical trials, for example.
ViBone in Cervical and Lumbar Spine Fusion
SpondylosisCervical Spondylosis3 moreAssess clinical and radiographic outcomes in patients who undergo 1-3 level anterior cervical discectomy fusion (ACDF) or lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF, PLIF, ALIF, or LLIF) using ViBone.
Patient Registry to Observe Outcomes Following Implantation of the VariLift Interbody Fusion Device...
Prolapsed Lumbar DiscProlapsed Cervical Disc4 moreThe registry has been designed as a prospective, observational program for patients undergoing lumbar or cervical fusion using VariLift device with the ultimate goal to aid in the development of strategic treatment pathways and improved patient care. All patients who agree to participate in the registry will sign an informed consent form and subsequently be treated by their surgeon with the VariLift device. Potential treatment procedures include bilateral posterior lumbar interbody fusion (PLIF), unilateral transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF), or bilateral anterior lumbar interbody fusion (ALIF) for the lumbar spine, or cervical unilateral or bilateral ACDF procedure. Surgical procedures can be performed in either an inpatient or outpatient facility. It is anticipated that the VariLift devices will improve patient outcomes and lead to the development of treatment pathways to improve patient care.
PEEK and Allograft Spacers Evaluation in Spinal Fusion Surgeries
Degenerative Disc DiseasePurpose The primary purpose of this study is to prospectively compare clinical and radiographic clinical outcomes in patients undergoing cervical or lumbar interbody fusions and randomized to receive either polyetheretherketone (PEEK) or cortical allografts.
Low-grade Infections of the Intervertebral Discs
Disc DegenerationThe purpose of this prospective, observational study was to evaluate frequency and characteristics of low-grade infections of the intervertebral discs in an unselected real-life patient population undergoing surgery for degenerative pathologies of the spine.
Retrospective/Prospective Data Collection on the LDR ROIC Interbody Fusion Device With VerteBRIDGE...
Degenerative Disc DiseaseThe purpose of this combined retrospective and prospective clinical study is to examine the clinical outcomes of the ROI-C® anterior cervical interbody fusion device with VerteBRIDGE® plating to treat single level degenerative disc disease between C2 and T1 in the short term, with a focus on fusion rates.
INDEPENDENCE Spacer for Lumbar Fusion
Degenerative Disc DiseaseThe primary objective of this study is to evaluate radiographic outcomes, intra-operative parameters, clinical outcomes, and patient satisfaction following circumferential fusion using the INDEPENDENCE® integrated plate and spacer with REVOLVE® Stabilization System for the treatment of severe low back pain due to lumbar disc degeneration unresponsive to 6 months of non-operative treatment.
Lumbar Disc Space Height in Young Disc Herniation and Degeneration Patients
Intervertebral Disc DisplacementIntervertebral Disc Degeneration1 moreAs low back pain (LBP) imposes a heavy socioeconomic burden, early detection of pathologic intervertebral disc change in young adults holds high clinical relevance as a common structural cause of LBP. The investigators therefore assessed the feasibility of using X-ray disc space height measurements as a predictive evaluation method of lumbar disc herniation (LDH) and degeneration in LBP patients in their early 20s.
Spine Patient Outcomes Registry for Biomet/EBI (Electro-Biology, Inc)
Degenerative Disc DiseaseSpinal StenosisThe purpose of this patient registry is to prospectively collect data on patients who are having spinal surgery with EBI and Interpore Cross Spine Products.
Evaluation Of Spinelink® Fixation In The Treatment Of Degenerative Spondylolisthesis And Spinal...
Degenerative Disc DiseaseDegenerative SpondylolisthesisThe purpose of this open, multi-center study is to prospectively collect outcome data on patients who are having lumbar spinal fusion surgery with implantation of the SpineLink® system.
