Observational, Real World Study Of Inflectra In Patients With Inflammatory Bowel Disease
Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)Crohn's Disease (CD)1 moreThis is a prospective, observational, multicenter study conducted in adult patients with ulcerative colitis (UC) or Crohn's disease (CD). The study plans to recruit 300 subjects in the United States and Canada in which the participating physician has decided to treat with INFLECTRA. The study will evaluate treatment patterns, adherence, disease activity, remission status, relapse status, treatment satisfaction, and healthcare resource utilization. Patient outcomes will be assessed at four time points (quarterly) for approximately 52 weeks after the decision to initiate treatment with INFLECTRA.

Safety and Effectiveness Study of Remsima® in the Treatment of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases Among...
Inflammatory Bowel DiseasesCrohn Disease2 moreThe purpose of this observational study is to assess the safety and effectiveness of biosimilar Infliximab in patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in Saudi Arabia where no visits or intervention(s) additional to the daily practice will be performed.

Feasibility Bowel Dysfunction Program After Low Anterior Resection
Rectal CancerLow Anterior ResectionThis study will facilitate a better understanding of the overall experience of our rectal cancer survivors after Low Anterior Resection for rectal cancer. Studies have demonstrated that the development of bowel and genitourinary dysfunction after this procedure is very distressing to patients and can have a significant impact on overall quality of life. By providing interventions that can be performed at home, investigator may alleviate these symptoms in hopes of improving the experience of patients undergoing Low Anterior Resection. By acknowledging these potentially debilitating symptoms in a systematic way, the investigator hopes to reinforce the importance of symptom management in the survivorship phase after treatment has been completed and ultimately facilitate an individual's return to routine activities.

Development of 'Emma'--a Pediatric IBD Quiz
Ulcerative ColitisCrohn's Disease1 moreWe would like to collaborate and further develop an ipad-based, interactive quiz game 'Emma'; to identify gaps in knowledge of inflammatory bowel disease in pediatric patients. These gaps can be used to improve patient education.

Assessment of Disease Activity in Ulcerative Colitis by Endoscopic Ultrasound
Ulcerative ColitisInflammatory Bowel DiseaseIn this cross-sectional study patients with active or quiescent ulcerative colitis will be studied to determine the utility of endoscopic ultrasound measurements of rectal wall blood flow and thickness as reliable indices of disease severity and the degree of correlation that exists with validated clinical, endoscopic, and histological indices.

Web-based Monitoring in Children and Adolescents With Inflammatory Bowel Disease
Inflammatory Bowel DiseaseUlcerative Colitis1 moreThe investigators hypothesize that E-health - web based monitoring of disease and treatment - in young patients with chronic inflammatory disease (IBD) can improve the disease course and quality of life. Adherence (to take the prescribed medicine) is difficult for young patients. In this E-health project the investigators seek to improve young patients (10-17 years) responsibility for treatment, to empower them and thereby enhance the adherence in order to achieve a more quiet disease course. Through the e-Health program and web-app the disease activity will be presented to the young patient via a simple traffic light chart and the patient will be guided to: continue the prescribed medication, call the physician or visit the out-patient clinic. In future the concept is believed also to be applicable for young patients with other chronic diseases.

Lipid Mediators in Colonic Biopsies as Biomarkers of Disease Activity of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases...
Inflammatory Bowel DiseasesColitis2 moreWe will quantify one of the lipid compounds (5,6 epoxy eicosatrienoic acid (5,6 EET), 5,6- EpoxyEicosaTrienoic acid) in colonic biopsies of Inflammatory Bowel Disease patients. We will evaluate its possible use as a pathological activity biomarker and its potential as a therapeutic target. We hypothesized that 5,6-EET is present in human colonic tissues in varying quantities depending on the pathological state of the IBD patient.

The Pediatric Intermed: A New Clinical Decision Making Tool
Inflammatory Bowel DiseaseThe investigators have recently developed a paediatric adaptation of the INTERMED tool to address the unique developmental and social contexts of children and youth. The Pediatric INTERMED adopts a life-chart methodology to structure and organize complex case material in time, colour-coding domains to facilitate identification of areas of high need and risk for each patient. The focus of the present study is to examine the characteristics and usefulness of the tool in identifying psychosocial stress in children/youth diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), as well as identifying overall case complexity. Children and parents will participate in a semi-structured structured interview with a clinical nurse who will then rate the 34-PIM items. To examine the construct validity of each of the Pediatric INTERMED domains (biological, psychological, social, caregiver/family, health care system) participants will complete questionnaires assessing social and psychological functioning, parent and family stress, quality of life and adaptive functioning. Information about disease status, and health care utilization will be obtained from medical chart review. It is hypothesized that greater case complexity will be predictive of more complex disease course/treatment, poorer quality of life, and increased health care utilization.

Predictors of Mucosal Healing in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Patients Treated With Anti-TNF...
Inflammatory Bowel DiseaseThe aim of this study is to prospectively identify, at diagnosis of the disease, factors predictive of mucosal healing in patients with inflammatory bowel disease treated with anti-TNF.
