HAIC Plus Targeted Therapy and/or PD-1 Inhibitors for Unresectable Intrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma...
Intrahepatic CholangiocarcinomaIntrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) is associated with poor prognosis. This study aims to explore the efficacy and safety FOLFOX-HAIC in combination with targeted therapy and/or PD-1 inhibitors for patients with initially unresectable ICC, as well as its role in conversion therapy. Data were retrospectively reviewed for patients with locally advanced unresectable ICC treated with FOLFOX-HAIC combined with targeted therapy and/or PD-1 inhibitors. The treatment efficacy and safety were evaluated.
RALPPS in Patients With Hilar and Intrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma
Hilar CholangiocarcinomaIntrahepatic CholangiocarcinomaUnsatisfactory immediate outcomes of Associating liver partition and portal vein ligation for staged hepatectomy (ALPPS) in surgery of cholangiocarcinoma suggested that patients with biliary cancer should not be treated by ALPPS. Short-term results of ALPPS variants with reduced surgical trauma on the first stage in patients with cholangiocarcinoma were not yet estimated. The objective of the study was estimation of the short-term results of split-in-situ resection with radio-frequency ablation (RFA) instead of liver partition on the first stage (RALPPS) in patients with hilar (h-CCA) and intrahepatic (i-CCA) cholangiocarcinoma compared with portal vein embolization (PVE).
B-Receptor Signaling in Cardiomyopathy
CarcinomasAmyloidosis37 moreWe hope to determine the importance of different genes (including B receptors) in anthracycline-induced cardiomyopathy. This has important benefits to patients exposed to anthracyclines, as this could help determine whether certain individuals have increased susceptibility to cardiac injury.
Accuracy of Endoscopic Ultrasound for Detection of Tumors of the Liver
Hepatocellular CarcinomaHepatoma2 moreThe diagnostic accuracy of EUS for detection of the liver tumors (primary and metastatic) remains unknown. To compare the accuracy of the EUS and CT scan for detection of the primary and metastatic carcinoma of the liver.
Implementation and Quality Assurance of DPYD-genotyping in Patients Treated With Fluoropyrimidines....
Adverse Drug EventColon Cancer6 moreThe purpose of this study is to examine the benefits of a clinical implementation of a DPYD-genotype test to patients starting treatment with fluoropyrimidines (Fluorouracil (5-FU), capecitabine, tegafur).
Radio Frequency Ablation in the Management of Pancreatico-biliary Disorders: A Multicenter Registry....
Bile Duct CancerPancreas CancerBile duct cancer and pancreatic cancer are cancers that cannot be surgically removed. As the cancer grows, it blocks the drainage of the bile ducts that carry digestive juices from the gallbladder and pancreas to the small intestine. ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography) is often prescribed during which a tube with a tiny camera attached is inserted through the subject's mouth and advanced to a place in the small intestine where the bile duct empties. Through this scope the doctor enlarges the ducts with tiny balloons and places plastic or metal stents (straws) that help keep the bile ducts open so they can drain properly. However, due to the cancer, the stents are blocked eventually. The purpose of this registry is to record information and evaluate the impact of endoscopic radiofrequency ablation (RFA) probes in improving the management of bile duct cancer or pancreatic cancer by ablating the tissue in the bile duct(s) before the stent(s) are implanted. By using radiofrequency (RF) energy to heat the tissue in the duct(s) prior to stent(s) insertion, the surrounding tissue becomes coagulated and this may delay tumor growth and the time before the stent lumen becomes blocked. Thereby, allowing increased periods between the need for intervention and further stent implantation(s). The registry will evaluate the efficacy and safety of RFA procedures conducted for pancreatico-biliary disorders
Advanced Endoscopy During COVID-19
CholangitisSecondary Biliary5 moreIn this study, investigators aim to explore the status of advanced endoscopy in different endoscopy units all over the world.
Nutrition in Gastrointestinal Tumors
Pancreatic CancerOesophageal Cancer9 moreMalnutrition and loss of muscle mass frequently occur in patients undergoing chemotherapy and can negatively effect therapy outcome. Especially patients with cancer of the gastrointestinal tract are often affected by malnutrition. Therefore, this study aims to examine changes in nutritional status of patients with cancer of the gastrointestinal tract during chemotherapy. Findings of this study will help to improve nutritional treatment of patients undergoing chemotherapy.
Minimally Invasive Pancreatoduodenectomy for Distal Cholangiocarcinoma
Distal CholangiocarcinomaOutcomes for minimally invasive and open pancreatoduodenectomy for distal cholangiocarcinoma have not been compared. This is an international multicenter propensity score matched cohort study including patients after MIPD or OPD for dCCA. Primary outcomes included overall survival (OS) and disease-free interval (DFI).
pCLE For the Diagnosis Of Cancer in Unknown Bile Duct Stricture
CholangiocarcinomaBile Duct InflammationThis study will collect data from patients undergoing an ERCP procedure with probe-based Confocal Laser Endomicroscopy for suspicion of bile duct cancer. the objective is to evaluate the diagnostic performance of pCLE for the diagnosis of indeterminate biliary stricture when associated with other diagnostic information (standard ERCP and tissue sampling).
