Degradation of the Glycocalyx in Delayed Cerebral Ischemia After Aneurysmal Subarachnoid Hemorrhage...
Aneurysmal Subarachnoid HemorrhageThis study will provide novel information to the literature base for the pathophysiology of aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage. The association of breakdown products in the serum of aSAH patients were reported in a very small case series of 3 patients, as mentioned above. However, while their results are intriguing and encouraging, our study will provide more definitive information about the GC in aSAH. If there is a positive correlation, the results of this study will guide future investigations into new therapies for this devastating disease such as MMP inhibition with doxycycline.

Brain Hypoxia IschemiaThis study uses a CPOM Optical neuromonitor to assess the relationship between brain cytochrome C oxidase, cerebral oxygen saturation and blood pressure during surgery performed under general anesthesia.
Correlation of Intestinal Flora and Metabolomics in Patients With Ischemic Heart Failure
To Search for Biomarkers Associated With Ischemic Heart FailureTo Explore the Relationship Between Intestinal Flora and Ischemic Heart FailureTo provide new ideas for the treatment of patients with ischemic heart failure, this study is to search for differential metabolic markers associated with ischemic heart failure and to study the influence of fecal flora on the course of heart failure in patients with ischemic heart failure.
THE ROLE OF CARDIAC MARKERS IN HYPOXIC ISCHEMIC ENCEPHALOPATHY IN LONG-TERM NEURODEVELOPMENTAL FOLLOW...
Hypoxic-Ischemic EncephalopathyNewborn MorbidityIn this study, the correlation of cardiac marker values (Troponin I, CK, CK-MB) measured before treatment with the long-term neurodevelopmental score of newborns diagnosed with perinatal asphyxia and treated with therapeutic hypothermia with a diagnosis of hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) will be evaluated. Physical examination, laboratory (especially cardiac markers), aEEG findings and diffusion MRI findings of babies who have been hospitalized in the neonatal intensive care unit between 2015-2020 due to respiratory distress and who have undergone perinatal asphyxia but have undergone therapeutic hypothermia treatment will be recorded from their files in the hospital system. The neurological evaluations and neurodevelopmental scores of the babies in the follow-up in the neonatal high risk follow-up clinic after discharge will be recorded from their files.
Ischemic Stroke, Obesity and Thrombolysis
Ischemic StrokeThis study focuses on the relationship between obesity and stroke, which are both characterized by increasing incidence and prevalence with epidemic proportions worldwide and tremendous socio-economic consequences. Furthermore, obesity is an established risk factor for stroke and affects especially younger people, which increases the stroke incidence in younger patients. Unfortunately, the relationship between overweight and acute ischemic stroke including treatment by thrombolysis has not yet been evaluated thoroughly.
Risk Prediction in Type II Diabetics With Ischemic Heart Disease
Type-2 Diabetes MellitusIschemic Heart DiseaseThe purpose of this study is to test whether cardiac autonomic dysfunction predicts is a prognostic marker in type-2 diabetics with ischemic heart disease

IschemiaThe purpose of the study is to understand the relevance of tissue oximetry measures of tissue flaps during surgery and during recovery, and to determine if T-Stat is a reliable and early method of detecting compromised flaps.
The Difference in Postoperative Cognitive Dysfunction and Myocardial Ischemia Between Propofol and...
Cognitive DysfunctionCardiac MorbidityThe progressive aging of the general population cause increase in number of extensive and long surgeries in older patients. Age is a risk factor for perioperative myocardial ischemia and Postoperative Cognitive Dysfunction (POCD) The suggested study will deal with the above-mentioned complication in patients older then 65 years undergoing major non-cardiac surgeries. It has been shown that Isoflurane and sevoflurane may have a cardio-protective effect after cardiac surgery involving cardio-pulmonary bypass, and it was recommended that isoflurane should be used in these cases. A question was raised but haven't been answered yet, whether this cardio-protective effect exists also in non-cardiac major surgery. The aim of this study is to evaluate whether there is a difference in the occurrence of postoperative cognitive dysfunction and perioperative myocardial ischemia between total intravenous anesthesia using propofol and isoflurane based anesthesia.
EEG Based BCI for Upper Limb Rehabilitation in Stroke
Stroke SequelaeBrain IschemiaBiomedical and Engineering approaches form a key element to neurological rehabilitation of upper limbs. Brain Computer Interface (BCI) using Motor execution and Motor Imagery are known to aid motor recovery in stroke. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate that Noninvasive Sensorimotor Rhythm (SMR) based EEG based BCI using motor execution and Motor Imagery tasks can aid in rehabilitation of upper limb movements in chronic stroke. The project aims to explore an SMR-based BCI system that can exploit the sensorimotor rhythm voluntary modulation to play a virtual game as neurofeedback using motor executory tasks and imagined hand movements by stroke patients, who suffer from upper limb disability.
