The aim of the study is to evaluate the safety and feasibility of autologous bone marrow mononuclear cells autologous administered intra-arterially in the affected limb of diabetic patients with chronic critical ischemia of the lower limbs (CLI) without possibility of revascularization or other therapeutic alternatives. The trial hypothesis we propose consists of mononuclear cells of bone marrow providing progenitor cells with regenerative capacity and secrete also several angiogenic factors, and their implantation into ischemic tissues with both elements should contribute to angiogenesis and tissue regeneration with recovery of the circulation in the affected limb

Arm Rehabilitation Study After Stroke

This study is about arm and hand recovery after a stroke. The investigators are testing an experimental arm therapy called Accelerated Skill Acquisition Program (ASAP) which combines challenging, intensive and meaningful practice of tasks of the participant's choice compared to two standard types of therapy (usual and customary arm therapy totaling 30 hours and usual and customary arm therapy for a duration indicated on the therapy prescription). A second objective is to characterize current outpatient arm therapy (dosage & content) following stroke for individuals who are eligible for ICARE. Eligible candidates must have had a stroke affecting an arm within the last 106 days.

Oxytocin has cardio vascular effects as hypotension, tachycardia and possibly coronary spasm. The uterotonic effect of the drug is used during cesarean section, to minimize blood loss.ECG changes suggestive of cardiac ischemia (ST depression) has been showed in previous studies of patients undergoing cesarean section i regional anaesthesia. The effect of oxytocin on this outcome has not been investigated to any extent. In the current study, we tested the hypothesis that there was no difference in occurrence of ECG changes (ST segment depression) between two doses of oxytocin. Participants were randomized to receive either 5 or 10 units of oxytocin in a double blinded fashion. Main outcome measure is occurrence of significant ST depression on ECG. Secondary outcome measures are mean arterial pressure, heart rate, blood loss, symptoms as chest pain, shortness of breath and feeling of heaviness on the chest.

A separate analysis of both patient populations will be performed and listed.

The objective of this clinical investigation is to evaluate the long-term (up to 12 months) outcome of the 200 mm long self-expanding nitinol EverFlex (ev3) stent in long femoropopliteal lesions (TASC C & D) Is is the first time that the use of 200 mm long stents will be evaluated in these lesions. It is expected that the outcome of the treatment with this type of long stents will be better as the treatment of identical lesions lengths with multiple shorter stents.
