The Clinical Trial of CL2020 Cells for Neonatal Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy

Hypoxia-IschemiaBrain

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and the tolerability of CL2020 cells in hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy neonates with hypothermia therapy. In addition, we will evaluate the efficacy of CL2020 cells for infant development.

OPTIMA: Psychological Distress and the Effect of Intensive Group Based Cognitive Therapy in Patients...

Ischemic Heart DiseaseHeart Valve Diseases1 more

The overall objectives of the Optima project is to: (1) Compare the effect of standardized group based cognitive therapy and cardiac rehabilitation versus usual cardiac rehabilitation in patients with sign of psychological distress measured by a questionnaire (HADS score), (2) To investigate spontaneous variation in psychological distress with HADS over time in order to optimize time of measuring HADS. (3) To investigate if the intervention can be implemented to other cardiac rehabilitation sites with the same effect as on BFH (that it is not person dependent).

Immuno-inflammation in the Acute Phase of an Ischaemic Cerebral Accident Managed by Decompressive...

Ischemic Cerebrovascular Accident

The objective of the NEUTROSURGERY study is to describe the local and locoregional immuno-inflammatory activity in patients suffering from malignant sylvian ischaemic cerebral accident and treated with decompressive hemicraniectomy compared to a control population of patients to be operated on in neurosurgery for another neurosurgical pathology.

Human Urinary Kallidinogenase Improve Short Term Motor Functional Outcome of Acute Ischemia Stroke...

StrokeAcute

Acute cerebral infarction is a common type of ischemic stroke, causing brain dysfunction in patients with high morbidity and disability. With the changes in people's diet, lifestyle patterns and population aging, the incidence of acute cerebral infarction has increased year by year, which has become an important cause of disability and death in middle-aged and elderly patients. The human urinary kallidinogenase (HUK) was used in China in the management of acute ischemic stroke (AIS) in recent years. However, the mechanism of HUK on AIS has not been systematically investigated. This study aimed to assess the effect of HUK on motor functional outcome and relative corticospinal tract recovery in the patients with AIS. Diffusion tensor imaging(DTI) and diffusion tensor tractography(DTT) have all been used to observe features of cerebral white matter fibrous structures. In addition, diffusion tensor tractography which is used to trace fiber bundle and evaluate white matter fiber bundle integrity and direction is the only non-invasive imaging method to display the corticospinal tract in vivo.

A Proof of Concept Study to Evaluate the Safety of Afamelanotide in Patients With Acute Arterial...

Arterial Ischemic Stroke

The primary study objective is to assess the safety of afamelanotide while the secondary objective is to assess whether the therapy affects the size of the penumbra, by increasing blood flow, restoring oxygen supply to the brain, and reducing the amount of cerebral oedema (fluid) which is seen as a result of the stroke. Positive findings would indicate that the drug is able to support brain tissue-at-risk and provide overall neuroprotection and benefit to stroke patients.

PMZ-1620 (Sovateltide) in Acute Ischemic Stroke Patients

Acute StrokeCerebral Ischemia

This was a prospective, multicentric, randomized, double blind, parallel, saline controlled Phase II clinical study to compare the safety and efficacy of PMZ-1620 (INN: Sovateltide) therapy along with standard supportive care in patients of acute ischemic stroke.

Clinical Implementation of a Novel Decision Support Tool in Patients With Ischemic Heart Disease...

Ischemic Heart Disease

The PM-Heart algorithm (PMHeartIHD) is an in-house developed software that predict the survival prognosis for the individual patient hospitalized with ischemic heart disease (IHD) after a coronary arteriography has been performed. The software is intended to be used as a clinical decision support system i.e. the calculated survival prognosis is expected to enhance the quality of the treating physician's therapeutic considerations concerning (minor) adjustments to the patients treatment and follow-up - all within the framework of the current medical guidelines. Thus, the algorithm does not "show the physician specifically what to do", but rather ensures a better knowledgebase for the overall interpretation and choice of management of the patient.

Pedal Acceleration Time (PAT) as a Measure of Foot Perfusion

Critical Limb IschemiaClaudication1 more

To identify a correlation between Toe Brachial pressure Index (TBPI) and Acceleration time of the pedal vessels. The aim would then to use this data to design a clinical study assessing the relationship between PAT and wound healing in patients with PAD.
