The Effect of Immediate Implant Placement and Provisionalization in the Esthetic Zone
JawEdentulous1 moreThe purpose of this study is to compare two different techniques of placing dental implants: 1) removing the tooth and placing the implant immediately and 2) removing the tooth and placing both the implant and a temporary crown immediately. Both procedures currently are accepted methods for replacing missing teeth but direct comparisons of the two procedures are lacking. The results of this study should aid clinicians in selecting the best implant placement technique for their patients.
Clinical Success of Short Dental Implants Alone and Standard Dental Implants Combined With Osteotome...
JawEdentulous1 moreThe aim of this study is to determine the clinical success of short implants (6mm) alone and standard implants (10mm) combined with sinus floor elevation in atrophic maxilla.
Comparing Two Anesthetic Techniques for Implant Placement
Edentulous JawDental Implant2 moreTo evaluate in a comparative way the patient's perception in implant surgery in the posterior mandibular quadrants depending on whether the operation is performed under trunk anaesthesia or infiltrative anaesthesia, in both cases with Articaine. Randomized and multicenter prospective study to be developed in eight centers with similar socio-professional characteristics, with the same operative protocol. A significant sample of patients will be randomized to undergo the same intervention (surgery to place implants in the posterior mandible) under one or another type of anesthesia (inferior alveolar block nerve or infiltrative) and data will be collected using a Numerical Rate scale on four occasions (after the incision, after drilling, after suturing and after 12h).
Molecular Content of Peri-implant Sulcus During Wound Healing and Osseointegration Following Drilling...
Tooth LossEdentulous JawThis study aims to evaluate the levels of cytokines, chemokines and growth factors in peri-implant sulcular fluid (PISF) during healing and osseointegration at osteotomy sites prepared either with piezosurgery (PS) or drills (D). Fourteen patients having bilateral partial edentulism in the posterior maxilla were enrolled and 38 osteotomies were prepared. Implants were placed with one-stage surgery. Insertion torque, early healing index, probing depth and modified gingival and plaque indices and crestal bone (CB) loss were measured. PISF was collected from 4 sites from each implant at weeks 2, 4, 8, 12 and 24. PISF samples were analysed by a 30-Plex immunoassay. Effect of time and osteotomy method on molecules employed Brunner-Langer method.
Digital Versus Conventional Full-arch Implant Impression in Maxillary Screw- Retained Implant Prosthesis...
JawEdentulous28 participants with edentulous maxillary arches were randomly selected and enrolled in two equal groups; Group I conventional impression group (CIG) and Group II Digital impression group (DIG). All patients were rehabilitated with maxillary screw-retained implant prosthesis retained by 6 implants. Prosthodontic complications and peri-implant MBL were registered at 6,12, and 24 months (m). Data was collected and statistically analyzed.
Computer Assisted Implant Surgery and Immediate Loading
Edentulous JawsPurpose: The aim of this study was to analyze the clinical and radiographic outcomes of 23 edentulous jaws treated with 3D software planning, guided surgery, immediate loading and restored with Cad-Cam Zirconia and titanium full arch frameworks. Material & methods: This study was designed as a prospective clinical trial. Twenty patients have been consecutively rehabilitated with an immediately loaded implant supported fixed full prosthesis. A total of 120 fixtures supporting 23 bridges (8 mandible, 15 maxilla) were placed , 22 of which in fresh post extraction sockets. All the implants were inserted with an insertion torque of 35/45 Ncm. 117 out of 120 implants were immediately loaded the other 3 were delayed loaded. Outcome measures were implants survival, radiographic marginal bone-levels and bone remodeling, soft tissue parameters and complications.
A Study to Evaluate the Effectiveness of Laser-Ablated Implant-Abutments to Promote Tissue Healing...
JawEdentulous1 moreThe purpose of this study is to determine which implant-abutment design is more likely to promote early soft-tissue healing processes and/or will enhance longitudinal peri-implant bone and soft-tissue health.
Study on OsseoSpeed™ TX Implants in the Upper Jaw in a Chinese Population
Partially Edentulous JawThe purpose of this study is to investigate the clinical efficacy of OsseoSpeed™ TX implants in a Chinese population by evaluation of marginal bone level alteration, implant stability and implant survival in the posterior maxilla up to 3 years after loading. Hypothesis: Early loading of the posterior maxilla is a safe and predictable procedure.
Study Evaluating OsseoSpeed™ Narrow Implant in the Upper and Lower Anterior Jaw
JawEdentulous1 moreTo evaluate 5-year survival, functionality and safety for OsseoSpeed™ 3.0 mm diameter implant when used for single tooth crown in positions 12, 22, 31, 32, 41 and 42. The primary hypothesis is that implant survival after 5 years is equal to what has been observed with comparable implants in current literature.
Study on OsseoSpeed™ TX Short Implants in a Chinese Population
Partially Edentulous JawThe purpose of this study is to investigate the clinical efficacy of OsseoSpeed™ TX 6 mm implants in a Chinese population by evaluation of marginal bone level alteration, implant stability and implant survival in the posterior mandible and maxilla up to 3 years after loading. The hypothesis is that one stage surgery using 6 mm OsseoSpeed™ TX implant in the posterior region is safe and predictable.
