A Study of PRT-201 Administered After Arteriovenous Graft (AVG) Creation in Patients With Chronic...
Chronic Kidney DiseasePRT-201 is a recombinant human type-I pancreatic elastase intended for local, long-lasting dilation of the AVG venous anastomosis and outflow vein. The goal of the treatment is to improve primary patency and long-term survival of AVGs and thereby provide patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) a reliable and durable vascular access site for hemodialysis. Recent data indicate that up to three quarters of patients have loss of graft patency at one year, indicating a substantial need for new therapies. This clinical trial will explore the safety and dilatory effect of topically administered PRT-201 on the outflow vein of a newly placed upper extremity AVG.

Double Blind Randomized Placebo Controlled Trial of FOSTRAP Chewing Gum in Patients With CKD and...
HyperphosphatemiaChronic Kidney DiseaseThe phosphorus content in saliva is increased in chronic kidney disease. We hypothesize that a chewing gum that binds salivary phosphorus would be a novel, effective agent to reduce serum levels of phosphorus in patients with chronic kidney disease. We are testing this hypothesis using a chewing gum called FOSTRAP which has been shown to be effective in a small, non-randomized study in patients with chronic kidney disease on hemodialysis.

A Comparative Study of ASP1585 in Chronic Kidney Disease Patients With Hyperphosphatemia on Hemodialysis...
Chronic Kidney DiseaseRenal Dialysis1 moreThis is a multi-center, open-labeled study to examine the non-inferiority of ASP1585 to sevelamer hydrochloride in chronic kidney disease patients with hyperphosphatemia on hemodialysis.

Study of Olmesartan Medoxomil (CS-866) in Patients With Chronic Glomerulonephritis or Diabetic Nephropathy...
Chronic GlomerulonephritisDiabetic NephropathyThe treatment period was 16 weeks, the initial dose, 5 mg, was unforcedly titrated to 10 mg, 20 mg and 40 mg after confirming tolerance at weeks 4, 8 and 12. The primary endpoint for efficacy was the change in the urinary protein/creatinine ratio from baseline to the end of treatment. The secondary endpoint was creatinine clearance (Ccr).

Sodium Bicarbonate Supplementation in Chronic Kidney Disease Evaluation of Dose Response, Safety...
Chronic Kidney DiseaseThis study will enroll 25 patients with kidney disease to evaluate the effects of different doses of sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) on levels of bicarbonate in the blood, kidney function and muscle strength. The investigators will also evaluate safety and tolerability of different doses.

Long-term Study in Patients With Chronic Kidney Disease and Hyperphosphatemia on Hemodialysis
Chronic Kidney DiseaseRenal Dialysis2 moreThis is a multi-center, open-labeled, non-comparative study to examine the safety and efficacy of ASP1585 for long-term dosing in chronic kidney disease and hyperphosphatemia patients on hemodialysis.

Reducing Residual Albuminuria in Subjects With Diabetes and Nephropathy With Atrasentan
Chronic Kidney DiseaseDiabetic NephropathyProspective, randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled, 12-week, multicenter study. The objective of the study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of once daily administration of atrasentan tablets compared to placebo in reducing residual albuminuria in Japanese Type 2 diabetic patients with nephropathy who are treated with the maximum tolerated labeled dose for hypertension of a RAS (renin angiotensin system) inhibitor.

Equivalence of Calcium Acetate Oral Solution and Sevelamer Carbonate Tablets in Hemodialysis Patients...
Chronic Kidney DiseaseThe purpose of this study is to demonstrate equivalence of calcium acetate oral solution and sevelamer carbonate in maintaining serum phosphorus levels This is a phase IV, multicenter, randomized, open-label, cross-over study to assess the equivalence of a liquid formulation of a calcium-based phosphate binder, COS, to sevelamer carbonate tablets, in hemodialysis dependent Chronic Kidney Disease subjects (CKD). The aim of the study is to maintain serum phosphorus level and establish equivalence between COS and sevelamer carbonate tablets.

Safety & Tolerability Study of CTP-499 in Patients With Moderate Chronic Kidney Disease
Stage 3 Chronic Kidney DiseaseThis study is being conducted to evaluate the safety and tolerability of treatment with CTP-499 in non-dialysis patients associated with moderate chronic kidney disease.

Multiple Dose Study to Evaluate the Safety of Multiple Doses of Denosumab 120 mg in Adults With...
Renal ImpairmentThe primary objective was to evaluate the incidence of clinically significant hypocalcemia following multiple 120 mg subcutaneous doses of denosumab in patients with severe chronic kidney disease (CKD) and CKD on dialysis
