The purpose of this study is to summarize the percentage of participants achieving age-specific Kidney Disease Outcomes Quality Initiative (KDOQI) targets for serum phosphorus in hyperphosphatemic children and adolescents with chronic kidney disease (CKD) who are on dialysis, following 8 weeks of treatment with lanthanum carbonate.

The purpose of this study is to compare the efficacy and biocompatibility of the Nipro Elisio 210H dialyzer between two dialysis modalities, conventional hemodialysis and on line hemodiafiltration.

OUTCOME MEASURES Primary outcome:. 3 months change in Upper-Extremity Fugl-Meyer scores. Secondary outcome: 3 months change in NIHS & Bartel scores POPULATION Ischaemic and haemorrhagic stroke patients with renal disease treated at Hammersmith's Hospital's renal Unit. . ELIGIBILITY Data of all patients with renal disease and imaging proven stroke will be retrospectively analysed. RCT will be conducted on End Stage Renal Disease patients with acute (<7 days) stroke affecting arm. DURATION 2 years

End stage renal disease (ESRD) patients exhibit an extraordinarily high annual mortality. Cardiovascular (CV) causes account for almost half of all-cause mortality. Increased left ventricular mass (LVM) is a common finding in ESRD patients on dialysis and is an independent predictor of survival. Yet, to date there is no established medical treatment to reduce CV morbidity and mortality in ESRD patients on hemodialysis. Blockade of aldosterone action by means of mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists (MRA) provides cardioprotection and improves outcome in heart failure patients. Furthermore, the MRA spironolactone has recently been shown to reduce LVM in patients with mild-to-moderate chronic kidney disease (CKD). The investigators here hypothesize that spironolactone treatment is cardioprotective by reducing LVM in ESRD patients on dialysis.

The purpose of this study is to show biosimilarity of HX575 epoetin alfa with the US licensed reference product Epogen®/Procrit® when applied subcutaneously. This study is intended to generate data supporting that the efficacy and safety under treatment with HX575 and Epogen®/Procrit® are comparable.

The Membranous Nephropathy is one of the most common cause of Nephrotic Syndrome of adults. In 2/3 of patients the cause of the disease is idiopathic. This can also be referred to as idiopathic membranous nephropathy (IMN).The most of these patients are treated by non immunosuppressive symptomatic treatment (NIST): antiproteinuric and antihypertensive blocking the rennin-angiotensine system. However, the patients resistant to antiproteinuric treatment risk to develop an end stage renal disease (ESRD). Rituximab has been recently used in patients suffering of nephrotic syndrome related to IMN in four international studies. Rituximab appears effective and safe in reducing proteinuria in nearly 60% of patients. The primary outcome of the investigators prospective randomized study is to determine whether or not the Rituximab associated with NIST is more effective than non immunologic symptomatic treatment alone in inducing long term remission of proteinuria.
