Study for Subjects With Chronic Kidney Disease(CKD) Not Receiving Dialysis

Chronic Kidney DiseaseKidney Disease

The proposed study is designed to test a novel dosing paradigm that would facilitate the treatment of anemia in CKD patients not on dialysis. Anemic patients who are not currently receiving ESA therapy will be dosed with darbepoetin alfa Q2W for 18 weeks.

Study of the Safety of FG-3019 in Incipient Nephropathy Due to Type 1 or Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus...

Diabetes Mellitus

The Phase 1b study is a multi-center trial designed to test the safety, tolerability, biologic activity of escalating doses of FG-3019 in up to 20 patients with type 1 or type 2 diabetes and microalbuminuria (early-stage kidney disease). Patients will receive either 3 or 10 mg/kg of FG-3019 administered every two weeks as an infusion for a total of four doses. The ability of FG-3019 to reduce the excretion of protein in the urine is being measured as a secondary endpoint.

A Randomized Control Trial Comparing Single vs. Multiple Application of Lidocaine Analgesia Prior...

Urinary Tract InfectionKidney Diseases2 more

The purpose of this study is to determine if a single application of Lidocaine gel topical anesthesia is as effective in decreasing the discomfort associated with urinary catheterization as two applications, within our pediatric population. Currently, two applications is our standard of care within our pediatric Radiology Department. Urinary catheterization is the process of placing a flexible tube into the urinary opening (urethra), to drain urine or instill radiographic solution for study of the anatomy and/or function of the urinary system. Members of the study team hypothesize equivalence in the observer reported catheterization pain scores as measured by the FLACC pain scale. The study is designed to obtain conclusive data to guide clinical practice. The study team hypothesizes that statistically similar levels of analgesia will be observed with the single application procedure as compared to the multiple application technique.

An Evaluation of IV Gamma Globulin As a Method to Improve Kidney Transplant Survival in Patients...

End-Stage Renal DiseaseKidney Transplantation

This study is designed to test the clinical and laboratory observations that suggest IVIG given before and after kidney transplant to patients who are sensitized (highly sensitive) to certain transplant antigens could result in reduced sensitization and reduced rates of kidney rejection. Some ESRD patients are highly sensitive to certain transplant antigens (foreign substances that activate the immune system) and must wait for a long time before a well-matched kidney becomes available. Transplant rejection is more likely among highly sensitized patients than in patients who are not highly sensitized. There is no proven method to improve a highly-sensitized patient's chances of receiving and keeping a transplanted kidney.

Coronary Revascularization in Patients On Dialysis in China-Retrospective Registry

Coronary Artery DiseaseEnd Stage Renal Disease1 more

Coronary artery disease (CAD) is the leading cause of death in end-stage renal disease (ESRD) patients requiring dialysis. There are limited data on clinical characteristics, treatment strategies and outcomes in this special patient population in China. As a nationwide, observational, multicenter cohort study, this study consecutively included ESRD patients on dialysis with significant CAD at 30 tertiary care centers in 12 provinces in China from January 2015 to June 2021. Patient data collected included demographics, comorbidities, cardiac history, cardiac function, location and severity of CAD, procedural information, medications, and clinical events.
