Aim. To investigate the effect of an intradialytic aerobic and resistance cycling exercise program (IARCEP) on depression, fatigue, and quality of life (QOL) in end-stage renal disease (ESRD) patients receiving haemodialysis, and further determine the effect of mediation through self-efficacy and resilience in patients receiving the IARCEP. Background. Depression and fatigue are common in ESRD patients undergoing haemodialysis, which negatively affects their QOL. Exercise can mitigate this effect. Patient's self-efficacy and resilience may be crucial mediators in exercise. Design. This study was a randomised controlled trial. Method. Seventy-six participants were randomly assigned to either a control or exercise group. Both groups received routine care; whereas the exercise group participated the 3- months IARCEP. The objective of this protocol is to test the effectiveness of a Jumpstart intervention on patient-centered outcomes for patients with chronic illness by ensuring that they receive care that is concordant with their goals over time, and across settings and providers. This study will examine the effect of the EHR-based intervention to improve quality of palliative care for patients 55 years or older with chronic, life-limiting illness with a particular emphasis on Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (ADRD). The specific aims are: To evaluate the effectiveness of a novel EHR-based (electronic health record) clinician Jumpstart guide, compared with usual care, for improving the quality of care; the primary outcome is documentation of a goals-of-care discussion in the period between randomization and 30 days following randomization. Secondary outcomes focus on intensity of care: ICU use, ICU and hospital length of stay, costs of care during the hospitalization, and 7 and 30-day hospital readmissions. This is a Phase 1, non-randomized, open-label, 2-part study to investigate the effect of renal impairment on the pharmacokinetics (PK), safety and tolerability of a single oral dose of PF-07321332 in combination with the PK boosting agent ritonavir. Participants will be selected and categorized into normal renal function or renal impairment groups based on their estimated glomerular filtration rate. Part 1: will be conducted in approximately 24 participants (approximately 8 per group) with stable mild or moderate renal impairment and a control group of participants with normal renal function. Part 2 will be conducted in approximately 8 participants with stable severe renal impairment.

As a result of the shortage of donor organs and the close relationship between allograft or even life loss and non-adherence after kidney transplantation, improvement of patient adherence appears essential. So the current study aimed to monitor adherence barriers of renal transplant recipients and evaluate possible consequences of nonadherence on recipients' clinical outcomes as well as to implement a structured adherence management program consisting of intensified patient counselling and adherence support by a dedicated clinical pharmacist as an adjunct to standard post-transplant patient education carried out by transplant physicians to investigate the efficacy of the implemented program on patients adherence and health outcomes as compared to standard physician patient care.
