Proximal Humerus Fracture Dislocation Direction and Avascular Necrosis
Proximal Humeral FractureDislocation3 moreThe purpose of the study is to see if there is a connection between a proximal humerus fracture dislocation direction and the likelihood of developing avascular necrosis. Utilizing a retrospective cohort from the last ten years we hope to bring consenting patients back for a single visit to have x-rays and complete patient reported outcome measures to assess for evidence of avascular necrosis.
Prospective Randomized Study: Assessment of PRF Efficacy in Prevention of Jaw Osteonecrosis After...
Bisphosphonate-Associated Osteonecrosis of the JawThis prospective study will include patients taking or having taken bisphosphonates and needing dental extractions. The aim of this study is to validate the contribution of PRF (Platelet Rich Fibrin) in tooth extraction sites. In the test group (PRF) and in the control group (no PRF), we use the same atraumatic extraction protocol associated with the same antibiotic procedure.
Genetic Risk of Osteonecrosis of the Jaw (ONJ) in Patients With Metastatic Cancer
Bone DiseasesMetastases2 moreThis study seeks to identify risk factors associated with the development of a jaw condition seen in patients with cancer treated with certain medications.
Predictive Factors for the Development of Osteonecrosis After the Treatment of the Developmental...
Predictors of Osteonecrosis of the Femoral Head After Treatment of the Dislocated HipSeveral risk factors for the development of osteonecrosis of the femoral head following treatment of developmental dislocated hip have been reported. The need for further research with a large-enough sample size including statistical adjustment of confounders was demanded. The purpose of the present study was to find reliable predictors of osteonecrosis in patients managed for developmental dislocation of the hip and to evaluate if delayed treatment increased the risk of residual acetabular dysplasia requiring secondary surgeries.
Root Canal Treatment Outcome in Patients Under Bisphosphonate Therapy
Root Canal InfectionBisphosphonate-Associated Osteonecrosis2 moreThe aim of this study was to evaluate the survival rate and healing time of compromised teeth and seriously compromised teeth that were endodontically treated in patients which received bisphosphonate therapy . Clinical complications, success and survival rate was reported. Mean clinical parameters, clinical symptoms and presence of periapical radilucency were recorded.
Osteonecrosis of the Jaw (ONJ) and Infection Among Nordic Cancer Patients Treated With XGEVA™ or...
Osteonecrosis of the JawInfection Leading to HospitalizationA non-interventional study to assess incident rates of Osteonecrosis of the Jaw and Infections leading to hospitalization in Cancer patients treated with XGEVA™ in Sweden, Denmark and Norway.
Performance Evaluation of the Micromedic BRONJ Risk Assessment in Vitro Diagnostic Assay
Bisphosphonate-related Osteonecrosis of the JawTo evaluate the performance of the Micromedic BRONJ Risk Assessment in vitro assay (the "BRONJ Assay") in identifying Multiple Myeloma (MM) and/or other cancer subjects at risk for developing Bisphosphonate-related Osteonecrosis of the Jaw (BRONJ) following intravenous (IV) administration of Bisphosphonates (BP).
DPBRN Retrospective Cohort Study of Osteonecrosis of the Jaw
Osteonecrosis of the JawThe purpose of this study was to determine the prevalence of ONJ in the patient population of 2 large HMOs and study the risk factors associated with the development of this condition.
Functional Outcomes Following Hip Core Decompression in Younger Participants With Osteonecrosis...
OsteonecrosisAlthough uncommon in the general pediatric population, osteonecrosis (ON) is prevalent in children and adolescents with cancer, particularly among those that have had chronic exposure to glucocorticoids and among those having undergone allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Patients with hematologic disease are also at risk for developing ON. Hip Core Decompression (HCD) is a widely used surgical procedure with several studies reporting positive results; however, most are subject to criticism because of the limited sample size or the absence of appropriate functional outcome measures. The objective of this pilot study is to observe and collect information on several functional outcome measures and assess if Hip Core Decompression (HCD) potentially improves functional outcomes in children, adolescents and young adults with osteonecrosis. PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: To describe functional outcomes of children, adolescents, and young adults with osteonecrosis of the femoral head following hip core decompression surgery. Parameters assessed will include pain, functional mobility, endurance, quality of life, and gait patterns pre-operatively and post-operatively over time.
Genetic Risk of Osteonecrosis of the Jaw (ONJ) in Patients With Metastatic Cancer: Concordance Study...
Breast CancerThis study will examine genes in three different tissues and look for similarities and differences between normal cells and cancer cells. The tissues to be studies come from blood, lymph node and cancer.
