A Pilot Study to Determine the Safety and Tolerability of Sirolimus Given With Hyper-CVAD Chemotherapy...

Lymphoid Malignancies (New or Relapsed)Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia4 more

This is a pilot study, assessing the feasibility, safety and toxicity of an mTOR (mammalian target of Rapamycin) inhibitor (MTI), rapamycin, when administered with HyperCVAD (Hyperfractionated Cyclophosphamide, Vincristine, Doxorubicine and Dexamethasone), with an ultimate goal to perform a phase II study to evaluate response rates and survival in adults with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) and aggressive lymphoid malignancies.

Panobinostat in Treating Patients With Relapsed or Refractory Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma

Adult Nasal Type Extranodal NK/T-cell LymphomaAnaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma19 more

Panobinostat may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. This phase II trial is studying how well panobinostat works in treating patients with relapsed or refractory non-Hodgkin lymphoma

Safety of Clofarabine With Multiagent Chemotherapy in Childhood Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

Acute Lymphoid Leukemia RelapseAcute Lymphoid Leukemia Relapse After Bone Marrow Transplant

The purpose of this study is to determine Maximum Tolerated Dosage (MTD), Dosage Limited Toxicities (DLT), and the Rate Phase 2 Dosage of clofarabine when used in combination with etoposide, asparaginase, mitoxantrone and dexamethasone and to assess the feasibility and safety of this combination regimen to treat children with high risk relapsed or refractory acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL).

506U78 in Treating Patients With Relapsed or Refractory T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia or T-cell...

LeukemiaLymphoma

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. PURPOSE: Clinical trial to study the effectiveness of 506U78 in treating patients who have relapsed or refractory T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia or T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma.

Combination Chemotherapy in Treating Children With Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, Osteosarcoma, or...

LeukemiaLymphoma1 more

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as trimetrexate glucuronate and leucovorin, use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug may kill more cancer cells. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well combination chemotherapy works in treating children with recurrent acute lymphoblastic leukemia, recurrent osteosarcoma, or refractory non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Chemotherapy, Imatinib Mesylate, and Peripheral Stem Cell Transplantation in Treating Patients With...

Adult Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in Remission

This phase II trial studies how well giving imatinib mesylate together with chemotherapy and peripheral stem cell transplantation works in treating patients with newly diagnosed acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Imatinib mesylate may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking the enzymes necessary for cancer cell growth. Giving imatinib mesylate together with chemotherapy and peripheral stem cell transplantation may be an effective treatment for acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

Bone Marrow Transplantation in Treating Patients With Leukemia, Myelodysplasia, or Lymphoblastic...

LeukemiaLymphoma1 more

RATIONALE: Bone marrow transplantation may be able to replace immune cells that were destroyed by chemotherapy or radiation therapy used to kill cancer cells. Sometimes the transplanted cells from a donor can make an immune response against the body's normal cells. Eliminating the T cells from the donor cells before transplanting them may prevent this from happening. PURPOSE: Randomized phase II/III trial to compare the effectiveness of conventional bone marrow transplantation with T cell-depleted bone marrow transplantation in treating patients who have leukemia, myelodysplasia, or lymphoblastic lymphoma.

Comparison of Different Combination Chemotherapy Regimens in Treating Infants With Acute Lymphoblastic...

Leukemia

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug may kill more cancer cells. It is not yet known which combination chemotherapy regimen is most effective for treating infants with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. PURPOSE: Randomized phase III trial to compare the effectiveness of different combination chemotherapy regimens in treating infants who have newly diagnosed acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

Combination Chemotherapy in Treating Children With Newly Diagnosed Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia...

Leukemia

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug may kill more cancer cells. It is not yet known which regimen of chemotherapy is more effective for acute lymphoblastic leukemia. PURPOSE: This randomized phase III trial is comparing four regimens of combination chemotherapy to see how well they work in treating children with newly diagnosed acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

Radiation Therapy and Chemotherapy Plus Peripheral Stem Cell Transplantation in Treating Patients...

LeukemiaLymphoma

RATIONALE: Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to damage cancer cells. Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Peripheral stem cell transplantation may allow doctors to give higher doses of chemotherapy drugs and kill more cancer cells. PURPOSE: Phase I/II trial to study the effectiveness of radiation therapy and chemotherapy plus peripheral stem cell transplantation in treating patients who have high-grade lymphoma or acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
