Bioelectrical Impedance Measurement for Predicting Treatment Outcome in Patients With Newly Diagnosed...
Acute Undifferentiated LeukemiaAdult Acute Myeloid Leukemia With 11q23 (MLL) Abnormalities9 moreThis clinical trial studies bioelectrical impedance measurement for predicting treatment outcome in patients with newly diagnosed acute leukemia. Diagnostic procedures, such as bioelectrical impedance measurement, may help predict a patient's response to treatment for acute leukemia.
Therapy of Relapsed AML With Chemotherapy and Dendritic Cell Activated Lymphocytes
Acute Myelogenous LeukemiaChronic Myelogenous LeukemiaDetermine the feasibility of generation of autologous Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) or Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia in myeloid blast crisis (CML/BC) derived dendritic cell activated lymphocytes (DC/AL) in poor prognosis patients. Determine the toxicity of autologous leukemia derived dendritic cell activated lymphocytes (DC/AL) in patients with AML or CML/BC. Quantitate circulating immune effector cells in patients after infusion of DC/AL. Record the efficacy of AML or CML/BC derived dendritic cells and activated lymphocytes in promoting and sustaining remission in patients with AML or CML/BC.
Safety, Efficacy and Pharmacokinetics of an Antifungal in Patients Undergoing Chemotherapy
Acute Myeloid LeukemiaPatients who undergo chemotherapy for leukemia will receive study medication for prevention of fungal infections. The study investigates the safety and tolerability of two different dosages, the efficacy in prevention of fungal diseases.
Nebulized Liposomal Amphotericin B Ambisome for Prophylaxis of Invasive Pulmonary Aspergillosis...
Acute Myeloid LeukemiaAllogeneic Haematopoietic Progenitor Cell TransplantThe trial is planned as a multicentric, national, phase II, open-label trial to evaluate safety and tolerance of nebulized Liposomal Amphotericin B (Ambisome) for LMA patients during the induction therapy ,intensification, plus Allogeneic Haematopoietic Progenitor Cell transplant in due course, as well for patients diagnosed of several malignant haematologic diseases and treated with Allogeneic Haematopoietic Progenitor Cell Transplant
ALFA-0703 Study in Older Patients With Acute Myeloblastic Leukemia (AML)
Acute Myeloid LeukemiaA Randomized Multicenter Phase III Study to Evaluate the Role of All-trans Retinoic Acid (ATRA) in Combination with Induction Chemotherapy, or Azacitidine and Idarubicin as salvage therapy and Idarubicin with Cytarabine or Azacitidine as Maintenance Therapy in Older Patients with Acute Myeloblastic Leukemia (AML). To compare the outcome of elderly patients with newly-diagnosed AML treated with standard induction chemotherapy and post-remission therapy, in only patients in CR, with either azacitidine or cytarabine combined to idarubicin +/- ATRA and salvage therapy with azacitidine combined to idarubicin +/- ATRA.
Study of Vaccination With Autologous Acute Myeloblastic Leukemia Cells in Patients With Advanced...
Acute Myelogenous LeukemiaMyelodysplasiaThe purpose of this study is to test the safety of a new investigational acute myeloblastic leukemia (AML) vaccine and see what effects (good and bad) it has on patients with advanced myelodysplasia or acute myelogenous leukemia.
A Study of the Drug IMGN632 in Children With Leukemia That Has Come Back After Treatment or is Difficult...
Recurrent Acute Myeloid LeukemiaRecurrent B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia6 moreThis phase I/II trial finds the highest safe dose of IMGN632 that can be given with other chemotherapy without causing severe side effects, studies what kind of side effects IMGN632 may cause, and determines whether IMGN632 is a beneficial treatment for leukemia in children that has come back after treatment or is difficult to treat. IMGN632 is a monoclonal antibody linked to a chemotherapy drug. IMGN632 is a form of targeted therapy because it attaches to specific molecules (receptors) on the surface of cancer cells, known as CD123 receptors, and delivers the chemotherapy drug to kill them. Giving IMGN632 with other chemotherapy may cause the leukemia to stop growing or to shrink for a period of time.
6,8-Bis(Benzylthio)Octanoic Acid, Cytarabine, and Daunorubicin Hydrochloride in Treating Older Patients...
Untreated Adult Acute Myeloid LeukemiaThis phase I/II trial studies the side effects and the best dose of 6,8-bis(benzylthio)octanoic acid (CPI-613) when given together with cytarabine and daunorubicin hydrochloride and to see how well it works in treating older patients with newly diagnosed acute myeloid leukemia. CPI-613 may kill tumor cells by turning off mitochondria (small structures in the cancer cells that are found in the cytoplasm [fluid that surrounds the cell nucleus]). Mitochondria are used by cancer cells to produce energy and are the building blocks needed to make more tumor cells. By shutting off mitochondria, CPI-613 may deprive the cancer cells of energy and other supplies that they need to survive and grow. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cytarabine and daunorubicin hydrochloride, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving CPI-613 together with cytarabine and daunorubicin hydrochloride may kill more cancer cells.
Safety and Clinical Activity Study of Combination Azacitidine and Avelumab in Patients With Acute...
Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML)Minimal Residual DiseaseThis is a phase I / II study. The purposes of this study are to: 1) find out what effects, good and/or bad, the combination of the experimental drug avelumab and the drug azacitidine has on people with AML and MRD, and 2) test if the two drugs, avelumab and azacitidine, are effective in getting rid of AML MRD when the drugs are given together in combination.
Isavuconazole in Preventing Invasive Fungal Infections in Adult Patients With Newly Diagnosed Acute...
Acute Myeloid LeukemiaMyelodysplastic Syndrome1 moreThis phase II trial studies how well isavuconazole works in preventing invasive fungal infections in adult patients with newly diagnosed acute myeloid leukemia or myelodysplastic syndrome and neutropenia. Isavuconazole may help to prevent invasive fungal infections in adult patients with newly diagnosed acute myeloid leukemia or myelodysplastic syndrome and neutropenia.
