This pilot clinical trial studies low-dose total body irradiation and donor peripheral blood stem cell transplant followed by donor lymphocyte infusion in treatment patients with non-Hodgkin lymphoma, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, or multiple myeloma. Giving total-body irradiation before a donor peripheral blood stem cell transplant helps stop the growth of cells in the bone marrow, including normal blood-forming cells (stem cells) and cancer cells. When healthy stem cells from a donor are infused into the patient they may help the patient's bone marrow make stem cells, red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. Once the donated stem cells begin working, the patient's immune system may see the remaining cancer cells as not belonging in the patient's body and destroy them. Giving an infusion of the donor's white blood cells (donor lymphocyte infusion) may boost this effect.

PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of monoclonal antibody therapy consisting of rituximab in treating patients with refractory or recurrent hairy cell leukemia following cladribine therapy.

This clinical trial studies the side effects and best dose of giving fludarabine and total-body irradiation (TBI) together followed by a donor stem cell transplant and cyclosporine and mycophenolate mofetil in treating human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-positive patients with or without cancer. Giving low doses of chemotherapy, such as fludarabine, and TBI before a donor bone marrow or peripheral blood stem cell transplant helps stop the growth of cancer or abnormal cells and helps stop the patient's immune system from rejecting the donor's stem cells. The donated stem cells may replace the patient's immune cells and help destroy any remaining cancer cells (graft-versus-tumor effect). Sometimes the transplanted cells from a donor can also make an immune response against the body's normal cells. Giving cyclosporine (CSP) and mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) after the transplant may stop this from happening.

RATIONALE: The BL22 immunotoxin can locate tumor cells and kill them without harming normal cells. This may be an effective treatment for hairy cell leukemia that has not responded to treatment with cladribine. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying BL22 immunotoxin to see how well it works in treating patients previously treated with cladribine for hairy cell leukemia.

Effect of low dose deferasirox on labile plasma iron is also examined.

This phase I/II trial studies the side effects and best dose of romidepsin and lenalidomide when combined with rituximab and to see how well this combination works in treating patients with B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma that has returned (recurrent) or did not respond to treatment (refractory). Monoclonal antibodies, such as rituximab, may block cancer growth in different ways by targeting certain cells. Romidepsin and lenalidomide may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking enzymes needed for cell growth. Giving rituximab together with romidepsin and lenalidomide may be a better treatment for B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

This clinical trial studies genetically modified peripheral blood stem cell transplant in treating patients with HIV-associated non-Hodgkin or Hodgkin lymphoma. Giving chemotherapy before a peripheral stem cell transplant stops the growth of cancer cells by stopping them from dividing or killing them. After treatment, stem cells are collected from the patient's blood and stored. More chemotherapy or radiation therapy is then given to prepare the bone marrow for the stem cell transplant. Laboratory-treated stem cells are then returned to the patient to replace the blood-forming cells that were destroyed by the chemotherapy and radiation therapy
