This randomized pilot trial studies how well higher or lower dose cladribine, cytarabine, and mitoxantrone work in treating medically less fit patients with newly diagnosed acute myeloid leukemia or myeloid neoplasm. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cladribine, cytarabine, and mitoxantrone, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. It is not yet known whether giving cladribine, cytarabine, and mitoxantrone at higher or lower dose may work better in treating patients with newly diagnosed acute myeloid leukemia.

This is a non-randomized, open-label, Phase Ib study of atezolizumab in combination with immunomodulatory agents for the treatment of participants with AML (relapsed/refractory and treatment-naive, elderly participants unfit for induction chemotherapy). The study has been designed with the intent, over time, to study multiple combinations of atezolizumab with different immunomodulatory agents in participants with AML. The study will begin with the evaluation of the combination of atezolizumab and guadecitabine (Arm A). In the future, additional arms may be added.

ASLAN003-003 is a multi-center, Phase IIA study to evalute the efficacy of ASLAN003 in AML patients who are ineligible for standard treatment with an expansion cohort in relapsed/refractory patients, and to determine the appropriate dose of ASLAN003 in combination with azacitidine in older (more than or equal to 60 years) AML patients who have exhausted any approved and available treatment options.
