Dosing Study of Ara-C/EL625/Idarubicin in Refractory and Relapsed AML

Acute Myelogenous Leukemia

The principal goal of this clinical trial is to assess the ability of cenersen sodium (EL625) to improve cancer responsiveness to the established AML therapeutic agent Idarubicin used alone or in combination with Cytarabine (Ara-C). Cenersen sodium is a drug that is designed to block the effects of a protein called p53. Laboratory evidence shows that blocking p53 will make many types of cancer, including acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), more sensitive to a variety of established cancer therapeutics while making normal tissues more resistant to the toxic effects of these agents.

Tipifarnib in Treating Patients With Relapsed or Refractory Acute Myeloid Leukemia

Acute Myeloid Leukemia With Multilineage Dysplasia Following Myelodysplastic SyndromeAdult Acute Erythroid Leukemia (M6)17 more

Tipifarnib may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. This phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of tipifarnib in treating patients with relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia

Ipilimumab After Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplant in Treating Patients With Persistent or Progressive...

Adult Acute Myeloid Leukemia With 11q23 (MLL) AbnormalitiesAdult Acute Myeloid Leukemia With Inv(16)(p13;q22)62 more

This phase I trial is studying how well ipilimumab works after allogeneic stem cell transplant in treating patients with persistent or progressive cancer. Monoclonal antibodies can locate cancer cells and either kill them or deliver cancer-killing substances to them without harming normal cells.

S0301 Cyclosporine, Daunorubicin, and Cytarabine in Treating Older Patients With Previously Untreated...

Leukemia

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cyclosporine, daunorubicin, and cytarabine, use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug may kill more cancer cells. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well giving cyclosporine together with daunorubicin and cytarabine works in treating older patients with untreated acute myeloid leukemia.

Adult Acute Myeloid Leukemia With 11q23 (MLL) AbnormalitiesAdult Acute Myeloid Leukemia With Inv(16)(p13;q22)4 more

This phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of GTI-2040 and high-dose cytarabine in treating patients with refractory or relapsed acute myeloid leukemia. GTI-2040 may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking the enzymes necessary for cancer cell growth. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cytarabine, use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Giving GTI-2040 together with cytarabine may kill more cancer cells.

Acute Myeloid Leukemia

In this study safety and tolerability of two dose levels of SU 11248 (sutent) with standard chemotherapy in patients with FLT3 mutated AML over 60 years will be evaluated.

Safety and Anti-Disease Activity of Oral Tosedostat (CHR-2797) in Elderly Subjects With Refractory...

Acute Myeloid LeukemiaAML

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of tosedostat in elderly patients suffering from refractory or relapsed AML.

Trial of CPX-351 in Adult Patients With First Relapse Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML)

Acute Myeloid Leukemia

The study investigates if CPX-351 will be a) more effective than the standard intensive salvage AML treatment and b) more tolerable than the standard intensive salvage treatment regimens. The study compares the investigational product CPX-351 vs the standard intensive salvage treatment for first relapse AML patients.

Myelodysplastic SyndromeAcute Myeloid Leukemia

The purpose of this study is to: Test the safety of the research study drug, lenalidomide, when given with Idarubicin and Cytarabine See how many respond to combination treatment with lenalidomide, Idarubicin and Cytarabine See how long people respond to this combination therapy See how long people live after being treated with this combination of drugs

Acute Myelogenous LeukemiaLeukemia

The goal of this clinical research study is to learn the most tolerable dose of Nexavarâ (sorafenib) when given in combination with Mobozilâ (plerixafor) and Neupogenâ (filgrastim) to patients with AML. The safety of this combination will also be studied. Funding Source - FDA OOPD
