Relapsed Adult AMLPrimary Refractory Acute Myeloid Leukemia1 more

This research study is evaluating whether primary palliative care is an alternative strategy to specialty palliative care for improving quality of life, symptoms, mood, coping, and end of life outcomes in patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML).

Acute Myeloid Leukemiain Relapse

This is a retrospective and prospective non-interventional multicenter observational study. Neither diagnostic approaches nor experimental drugs/procedure will be applied and the samples will take place at the same time as the samples will be taken during routinary clinical practice. The aim of this study is to analyze the immunobiology of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) relapses after allogeneic HSCT for the generation of guidelines and personalized therapeutic pathways.

Implanted Loop Recorders for Detection and Management of Arrhythmia With Bruton Tyrosine Kinase...

Atrial FibrillationSupraventricular Arrhythmia3 more

This study will enroll patients initiating Bruton Tyrosine Kinase (BTK) inhibitors without history of documented arrhythmia while on therapy using the Medtronic LINQ-2 insertable cardiac monitor (ILR). The incidence of new onset atrial fibrillation (AF) and other arrhythmia will be determined. Actions taken in response to device detected arrhythmia will be recorded.

B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia Associated With Down SyndromeDown Syndrome1 more

This study attempts to learn more about the health of persons with Down syndrome after treatment for acute leukemia. Children with Down syndrome are at increased risk for side effects during treatment for acute leukemia, but it is unclear of their risk for long-term effects of cancer treatment. By learning more about the factors that may contribute to chronic health conditions and long-term effects after treatment for leukemia in persons with Down syndrome, clinical practice guidelines for survivorship care can be developed to help improve their quality-of-life.

Chronic Myelogenous LeukemiaBCR-ABL1 Positive2 more

This pilot research trial studies the long term effects of tyrosine kinase inhibitor therapy on ovarian reserve and fertility in patients with chronic myeloid leukemia or gastrointestinal stromal tumor. Studying ovary imaging, ovarian reserve markers, and hormone levels from patients receiving tyrosine kinase inhibitor therapy may help doctors learn more about the effects of tyrosine kinase inhibitor therapy on ovarian function and fertility.

Hairy Cell Leukemia Patient Data Registry

LeukemiaOther

The overall objective is to develop a clinical data registry that can be used to facilitate research with the ultimate goal of reducing the morbidity and/or mortality and improving the quality of life of patients diagnosed or living with hairy cell leukemia. With approximately 1,000 new cases of this rare disease identified in the US each year, HCL represents 2% of all cases of leukemia in adults. Considering the rarity of this chronic leukemia, the Hairy Cell Leukemia Foundation (HCLF), in partnership with investigators from its Centers of Excellence, seeks to develop a registry to help researchers identify new trends in outcomes, recognize the most effective treatments, discover previously unknown complications of the disease, and design clinical trials for new therapies.

Ruxolitinib for the Treatment of T-Cell Large Granular Lymphocytic Leukemia

T-Cell Large Granular Lymphocyte Leukemia

This phase II trial tests whether ruxolitinib works to shrink tumors in patients with T-cell large granular lymphocyte leukemia. Ruxolitinib may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.
