Early Screening of Hepatocellular Carcinoma in Cirrhotic Patients: a Prospective Study
CirrhosisHepatocellular CarcinomaAlthough serum alpha-fetoprotein level and abdominal sonography are the main methods to screening hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in cirrhotic patients, the adequate time and methods used are not completely well-defined. This study aims to assess the better timing and methods for prospectively screening HCC in patients with cirrhosis
Hypermethylation of VTRNA2-1 Promoter in HCC Outcome
Hepatocellular Carcinoma ResectableThe clinic-pathological data were retrieved from the cancer registry database from the Cancer Center of Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Linkou branch. Of the 92 HCC patients with partial hepatectomies enrolled. The biological specimen was studied with approval.
Perfusion and Dual Energy Computer Tomography in Hepatocellular Carcinoma
Hepatocellular CarcinomaThe aim of this study is to evaluate the hepatic perfusion computer tomography and dual energy computer tomography in the assessment of tumor characterization of Hepatocellular carcinoma in patients with resectable Hepatocellular carcinoma by comparing the quantitative parameters computer tomography obtained with the pathological data of the surgical specimens.
Himalaya Early Access Program
Unresectable Hepatocellular CarcinomaTo provide early access (i.e., before marketing authorisation) to tremelimumab 300 mg IV administered once on Day 1 of Cycle 1 plus durvalumab 1500 mg IV followed by durvalumab 1500 mg IV Q4W monotherapy in patients with unresectable HCC.
Factors Affecting Post-treatment Outcomes in Patients With Hepatocellular Carcinoma
Hepatocellular CarcinomaEASL and mRECIST criteria differ from each other in terms of the number of target lesions (all versus < = 2) and calculation method (bidimensional versus unidimensional). Therefore, the investigators aimed to retrospectively analyze and compare the clinical outcomes among patients with hepatocellular carcinoma who were treated with different modalities of therapy according to the BCLC classification, and detect the possible predictors of post-treatment outcomes.
Predictive Power of Share Wave Fibro Scan in HCC After HCV Infection
Hepatocellular CarcinomaShear wave electrography score allows stratification of HCC risk in a noninvasive and reliable way and can guide the surveillance strategy for HCC in patients with CLD
Tumor Characteristics, Pre-transplant Treatments and Immunosuppression After Liver Transplantation...
Liver TransplantationRecurrence after liver transplantation for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) represents an important cause of mortality for this surgical population. In addition to tumor characteristics, It has been suggested that pre-treatment and sirolimus-based immunosuppression may affect recurrence and survival. With data from the European Liver Transplant Registry (ELTR) database, the aim of this study is to investigate the impact of tumor characteristics, pre-transplant treatment and immunosuppression regimens on survival after liver transplantation for HCC.
Pair Production PET Imaging to Detect Particle Distribution in Patients Undergoing Yttrium-90 Radioembolization...
CarcinomaHepatocellularThe primary goal of the study is to see if the PET/CT will be able to determine the precise location of the Y-90 particles within the liver and within the tumors. We hope to use this information in order to see if these particles distribute evenly throughout large tumors or if the particles go into the tumor which is located in the portal vein. The secondary goals are threefold. First correlate the distribution of Y90 particles (as demonstrated by PET/CT) with the degree of dead-tumor tissue. Second, see if there is a difference in the Y90 particle's distribution when a low particle load (1-3 million particles) is used compared to when a high particle load (6-8 million particles) is used. Lastly, compare the sensitivity of standard imaging ( bremsstrahlung imaging) currently being used for the Yttrium-90 angioembolization procedure to the sensitivity of the pair production PET research imaging.
Genetic Profiling of Liver Cancer in Patients Undergoing Liver Transplantation
Hepatocellular CarcinomaThe purpose of this study is to determine whether genetic markers unique to liver cancer are present and to assess usefulness as a diagnostic tool.
FLNA in HCC Patients
Hepatocellular CarcinomaThe risk of recurrence after hepatectomy for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is very high. Having a predictive marker of early recurrence (ER) would be desirable to personalize the follow-up and possibly develop new targeted therapy. The aim of this study was to test the expression of Filamin A (FLNA) in a cohort of patients operated for HCC.
