Gabapentin in Treatment of Muscle Cramps in Patients With Liver Cirrhosis
Liver CirrhosisMuscle cramps markedly affect the quality of life in cirrhotic patients with no highly effective drug. Quinine was suggested for treatment of patients with muscle cramps in patients with liver cirrhosis. However, thrombocytopenia, cardiac arrhythmias and cinchonism are serious side effects.
Difference in Efficacy Between Stem Cell Transplantation and Classical Therapy in Liver Cirrhosis...
Liver CirrhosisThe current treatment methods of liver cirrhosis are limited ,including antiviral therapy, supportive therapy and liver transplantation. Antiviral therapy and Supportive therapy especially the regularly intravenous infusions of plasma or albumin are combined in the clinical classical therapy treatment. In the other hand, umbilical cord mesenchyma stem cell with self and directed differentiation capacity can effectively rescue experimental liver failure and contribute to liver regeneration, which suggests the feasibility of stem cell transplantation therapy. In this study, the safety and efficacy of umbilical cord mesenchyma stem cell transplantation through interventional procedures and classical therapy in patients liver cirrhosis will be evaluated and compared.
Pilot Study Of The Effect Of Rifaximin On B-Cell Dysregulation In Cirrhosis
Liver CirrhosisChronic Hepatitis CHepatitis C is the leading cause of chronic liver disease and cirrhosis in United States veterans. Cirrhosis is associated with impaired antibody responses and increased risk of bacterial infections. We have recently identified that cirrhosis is associated with abnormalities of memory B-cells, cells that make antibodies and help protect against bacterial infections. We have identified that chemicals associated with gut bacteria might play a role in causing these B-cell abnormalities. It is well known that gut bacteria have increased access to the blood in individuals with cirrhosis, a process called bacterial translocation. We hypothesize that reducing bacteria counts in the gut by using poorly-absorbed antibiotics (also known as selective gut decontamination) will partially reverse losses of memory B-cells in cirrhosis by reducing bacterial translocation.
A Clinical Evaluation on Traditional Chinese Medicine Diagnosis and Treatment Program Blocking and...
Liver FibrosisChronic Hepatitis BThis research puts liver biopsy as the enrollment screening criteria and the primary efficacy assessment indicators. Patients at different developmental stages of hepatitis B related liver fibrosis are respectively diagnosed and treated by Traditional Chinese medicine to determine optional diagnosis and treatment plan of traditional Chinese medicine to screen the advantage-treated population and to establish a treatment program, which can save national medical resources, for clinical application of Traditional Chinese medicine Diagnosis and Treatment blocking and reversing hepatitis B-related liver fibrosis. The research can help to build automation pathological analysis and diagnosis systems and non-invasive clinical assessment criteria and models of liver fibrosis which can be applied in clinical. It can also help to realize electronic patient data collection and management, to establish patients management centre and follow-up database. Then it will help to improve clinical efficacy of being blocked and reversed chronic hepatitis B related liver fibrosis by Chinese medicine Diagnosis and Treatment program, to reduce the incidence of liver cirrhosis and hepatitis B-related mortality, to prolong patients' survival and improve patients' quality of life, to make clinical efficacy, which is about Traditional Chinese Medicine blocking and revering chronic hepatitis B-related liver fibrosis, increase by 15% or more .
Effect of Vardenafil on Erectile Dysfunction and Portal Hemodynamics in Patients With Liver Cirrhosis...
CirrhosisErectile DysfunctionThe investigators want to analyze the effect of Vardenafil on Erectile Dysfunstion and portal hemodynamics in patients with liver cirrhosis.
The Effect of Resistance Training on Muscle Strength and Nutritional Status in Patients With Liver...
Liver CirrhosisThe purpose is to investigate the effect of strength training on muscle strength, muscle mass and nutritional status in patients with liver cirrhosis to clarify possible metabolic and inflammatory changes during this intervention. In addition the investigator examine if the intervention is associated with fewer hospital readmission and an improved quality of life.
A Trial Comparing Entacavir and Tenofovir in Patients With HBV Decompensated Cirrhosis
Cirrhosis Due to Hepatitis BEntacavir and tenofovir are two first line therapies for chronic hepatitis B. Both agents have been claimed equivalent in treatment, there are no head to head trials available in the literature about there effectiveness in HBV Decompensated Cirrhosis. The investigators aimed to compare safety/efficacy and virological response in patients with HBV Decompensated Cirrhosis.
Baclofen in the Treatment of Muscle Cramps in Patients With Cirrhosis
Muscle CrampsLiver CirrhosisPatients with cirrhosis often experience muscle cramps with varying severity. The mechanism of their occurrence is not yet understood. Muscle cramps in patients with cirrhosis are associated with significantly diminished quality of life. The aim of the study is to assess the efficacy of baclofen in the treatment of muscle cramps in patients with liver cirrhosis.
The Effect of Anticoagulation in Cirrhotic Patients With Portal Vein Thrombosis:A Multicenter RCT...
Portal Vein ThrombosisLiver CirrhosisThe purpose of this study is to determine the effect and safety of anticoagulation after endoscopic therapy in cirrhotic patients with portal vein thrombosis and to explore its effect on long-term rebleeding rate and mortality.
Mesenchymal Stem Cells Transplantation for Liver Cirrhosis Due to HCV Hepatitis
Liver CirrhosisIn this study, investigators aimed to transplant autologous, adipose tissue derived mesenchymal stem cells to the patients with liver cirrhosis due to HCV. We also aimed to assess liver tissue regeneration, downgrade of clinical findings and antiviral efficacy. Finally investigators aimed to establish an alternative treatment modality to liver transplantation.
