Low Dose Parenteral Fat for Prevention of Parenteral Nutrition Associated Cholestasis in Preterm...
Parenteral Nutrition-Associated Liver DiseaseThe goal of the study is to determine if parenteral nutrition-associated cholestasis (PNAC) is related to the amount of parenteral (intravenous) fat administered to premature babies until full enteral nutrition is achieved.
Magnetic Resonance Elastography and 2-Point Dixon MR Imaging Techniques in Diffuse Liver Disease...
Liver CancerThe goal of this clinical research study is to test the accuracy of magnetic resonance elastogram (MRE) and 2-point dixon magnetic resonance imaging (2PD MRI) using new computer software (called "phase correction algorithm") in patients who might have liver disease.
Comparison of Quantiferon-TB Gold Assay With Tuberculin Skin Testing in Patients With Chronic Liver...
Chronic Liver DiseaseLiver Transplantation1 moreThe purpose of the study is to estimate the usefulness of the QuantiFERON®-TB Gold test for the diagnosis of latent tuberculosis infection in liver transplant candidates by correlating the test results with risk factors for LTBI
Clinical Features and Natural History of Acute-on-Chronic Liver Failure in Korean Patients With...
Chronic Liver DiseaseAcute Derangement of Liver FunctionChronic liver disease including liver cirrhosis is still associated with high mortality, although advancement of medical management and transplantation. Acute-on-chronic liver failure (ACLF) refers to condition of previously stable chronic liver disease with occurrence of an acute insult resulting in rapid deterioration of liver function and subsequent decompensation. This condition is different from liver cirrhosis (chronic hepatic decompensation) in terms of having more chance of recovery with management before acute deterioration, although it shows high short-term mortality. Thus, earlier recognition and intensive management are important for this condition. However, the definition or diagnostic criteria is unclear and the natural course of this condition is not definitely investigated. The aim of this study is to establish the natural course of ACLF in Korean patients.
High Fructose Corn Syrup
Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver DiseaseObesityThe purpose of this research study is to learn more about how high fructose corn syrup, a sugar used to sweeten drinks and foods, affects metabolism in obese persons with and without nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. Eligible participants will be studied before and after eating a diet high in high fructose corn syrup or a standard diet (low in high fructose corn syrup) for four weeks.
Influence of CYP3A5 Polymorphism on Liver Function Abnormality and the Trough Level Change After...
Liver DysfunctionThis study is a multicenter, single-arm, open-label, 24 weeks, and investigator-initiated clinical trial to assess the influence of CYP3A5 polymorphism on liver function abnormality and the trough level change after conversion to Advagraf® in liver transplant recipients.
Ultrasound-Based Liver Fat Quantification (LFQ) Pilot Study
Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver DiseaseNon-Alcoholic SteatohepatitisThis clinical study will involve performing a series of medical imaging procedures of the abdomen using both ultrasound and MRI modalities in subjects at risk for or already diagnosed with Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD). The primary objective of this clinical study is to evaluate the clinical feasibility of an investigational ultrasound technique for quantifying liver fat by comparing specific ultrasound-derived biomarkers with the liver fat percentage obtained from MRI Proton Density Fat Fraction (MRI-PDFF) measurements. All subjects enrolled in this study will undergo two investigational abdominal ultrasound examinations using the Philips EPIQ Ultrasound System and one MRI PDFF examination according to the clinical standard of care.
Noninvasive Biomarkers of Metabolic Liver Disease 1.1
Nonalcoholic SteatohepatitisNonalcoholic Fatty LiverNIMBLE is a comprehensive collaborative effort to standardize, compare, validate, and advance the regulatory qualification of imaging and circulating biomarkers to diagnose and stage nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), and to predict and assess response to therapeutic intervention (https://fnih.org/what-we-do/biomarkers-consortium/programs/nimble). This study focuses on estimating the repeatability and reproducibility of ultrasound elastography-based biomarkers across a range of fibrosis stages.
APHP Plateform of Normothermic Perfusion for Rehabilitation of Hepatic Grafts
Liver DiseasesThis study aimed to evaluate fatty liver grafts, considered as unsuitable for upfront liver transplantation, by using normothermic perfusion. Grafts have to be allocated to one of 3 liver transplantation centres of Paris. After evidence of viability while on perfusion, these grafts will be transplanted to recipients with an estimated waiting time > 6 months.
