A Study of Soticlestat in Adults With Liver Failure Compared to Those With Normal Liver Function...
Hepatic ImpairmentHealthy VolunteersThe main aim is to check the effect of a single dose of soticlestat in adults with moderate or mild liver failure compared to healthy adults with normal liver function. Participants will check into the study clinic for 8 days. During the stay, one oral dose of soticlestat will be given and the participant will be monitored. The clinic staff will follow up with the participant about a week after discharge from the clinic.
Study to Estimate the Effects of Hepatic Impairment on the Pharmacokinetics (PK) of PF-07321332...
Hepatic ImpairmentThe study is to estimate the effect of hepatic impairment on the plasma PK of PF-07321332/ritonavir. Findings from this study will be used to develop dosing recommendations so that the dose and/or dosing interval may be adjusted appropriately in the presence of hepatic impairment.

Covid-19Sars-CoV25 moreThis is a two-arm, open-label, randomized, phase 2, controlled center study to assess the safety and efficacy of Viusid and Asbrip in patients with mild to moderate symptoms of respiratory disease caused by 2019 coronavirus infection. Patients will be randomized to receive daily doses of 30 ml of Viusid and 10 ml of Asbrip every 8 hours or standard care. Viusid and Asbrip will be administered orally. A total of 60 subjects will be randomized 2: 1 in this study. 40 patients will be assigned to Viusid plus Asbrip plus standard of care and 20 control patients with standard of care. Treatment duration: 21 days.
A Study to Understand How the Study Medicine (PF-07081532) is Processed in People With Liver Dysfunction...
Hepatic ImpairmentHealthy VolunteersThe purpose of this study is to understand the effects of liver functional impairment on the study medicine (PF-07081532). People with liver functional impairment may process the study medicine differently from healthy people. We are seeking participants who: Are between 18 and 70 years of age; Have a BMI (body mass index) of 17.5 to 38.0 kg/m2, inclusive, and a total body weight >50 kg (110 lbs.). Participants will take the study medicine as a tablet once at the study clinic, and then will stay onsite for about 7 days. During this time, the study team will monitor their treatment experience and take some blood samples to test the level of PF-07081532. This will help us understand if certain level of liver functional impairment could affect the study medicine being processed in the body.

Alzheimer DiseaseLate Onset10 moreSince September 1st, 2009, Taiwan has begun to pay attention to the care of patients with organ failure, dementia and the elderly, and brought eight of non-cancer terminal patients into health insurance subsidies to implement the goal of universal palliative care and local aging. Taiwan has entered the aged society since March 2018, become the heavy burden of expenditure in Taiwan because of the health care needs and costs associated with the rapid aging of the population. With advanced medical technology, when facing inevitable death situation, should not use too much medical treatment on terminally ill patients. The waste of medical resources and bring both patients and family members so much pain. In Taiwan, people have misconception about tranquil palliative care. The low rate of home palliative care for non-terminal cancer patients. The purpose of this study is investigating the eight non-cancer terminal caregivers' knowledge, attitudes and service intentions of palliative care, and getting the result by research intervention. In this study, a randomized experimental research design was applied by two-group pre-and post-test. The targets are the eight non-cancer terminal caregivers in a home care institution of a regional teaching hospital located in Yilan. Targets' ID end with odd numbers are in experimental group received shared mode intervention, and even numbers are in control group received home routine care. The experimental group was implementing measures of weekly shared mode intervention in 20 to 60 minutes for six weeks; the control group started to implement measures of home care medical instructions booklet in the third week. The content of the outcome measurement questionnaire includes: basic information of the eight non-cancer terminal caregivers, the palliative care knowledge scale, the palliative care attitude scale, and palliative care service initiation intention scale. Data were analyzed by statistical methods such as descriptive analysis, independent sample t-test, paired-samples t-test, Pearson correlation analysis and one-way ANOVA.

Moderate Hepatic ImpairmentNormal Hepatic FunctionThe purpose of this study is to determine the effect of hepatic impairment on rivipansel PK and safety.
Metabolic Flexibility, Gut Microbiota, Healthy Diet and Exercise in NAFLD on Genetics Base
Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver DiseaseObesityNonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is associated to obesity, metabolic syndrome and genetic predisposition: specific variants of the genes PNPLA3 and TM6SF2 are the most involved. Also biochemical mechanisms that affect the "metabolic flexibility" need to be better clarified. It is known that a dietary intervention, accompanied by a physical personalized training, reduce either the hepatic fat content either insulin resistance. Therefore, the aim of the study is to evaluate "metabolic flexibility" in obese NAFLD subjects taking in account the presence or absence of PNPLA3 and TM6SF2 polymorphism and the histopathological diagnosis of either simple steatosis or nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). The composition of gut microbiota will be also evaluated. Finally, two distinct healthy dietary profiles accompanied by a personalized physical training, will be tested to comprehend whether and how "healthy diets" could operate in the clinical treatment of NAFLD and related conditions.
