Hypofractionated Radiation Therapy in Treating Patients With Stage 0-IIB Breast Cancer
Ductal Breast Carcinoma In SituInvasive Breast Carcinoma7 moreThis phase II trial studies how well hypofractionated radiation therapy works in treating patients with stage 0-IIB breast cancer. Hypofractionated radiation therapy delivers higher doses of radiation therapy over a shorter period of time and may kill more tumor cells and have fewer side effects.
Patient Reported Outcomes, Smart Pill Bottle and Teleheath for Endocrine Therapy Adherence
Stage 0 Breast Cancer AJCC v6 and v7Stage I Breast Cancer AJCC v79 moreThis phase II trial studies how well telehealth works in improving adherence to endocrine (anti-estrogen) therapy in participants with estrogen receptor and/or progesterone receptor positive (hormone receptor positive) stage 0-III breast cancer who have underwent surgery. Telehealth is an approach to care that uses digital information and communication tools to manage health and well-being. Participants interact with their health care providers via a video chat on a computer or smart phone. Telehealth may help identify the effects of treatment on participants with breast cancer who have underwent surgery.
Oral Tamoxifen vs. TamGel vs. Control in Women With Atypical Hyperplasia or Lobular Carcinoma In...
Atypical HyperplasiaLobular Carcinoma in SituThe investigators plan to prospectively study breast tissue changes after a short course of Tamoxifen (Tam).
Radiation Therapy Boost Before Surgery for the Treatment of Non-metastatic Breast Cancer
Anatomic Stage 0 Breast Cancer AJCC v8Anatomic Stage I Breast Cancer AJCC v818 moreThis phase II trial investigates the safety of delivering a part (boost) of radiation treatment before breast surgery in treating patients with breast cancer that has not spread to other places in the body (non-metastatic). Radiation therapy uses high energy photons/electrons to kill tumor cells and shrink tumors. Delivering a boost radiation treatment before surgery when doctors can still visualize the tumor on imaging may help to better target the tumor and decrease the volume of normal irradiated tissue. By so doing, doctors may achieve better cosmetic outcomes and possibly better tumor control.
Intra-operative Radiotherapy For Women With Ductal Carcinoma in Situ Breast Cancer
Breast NeoplasmsWhether the patients with low grade ductal carcinoma in situ breast cancer should accept radiationtherapy is uncertain.Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to damage tumor cells. Giving radiation during surgery followed by external-beam radiation to the entire breast may kill more tumor cells. The clinical trial is conducting to find out the effectiveness of radiation therapy during surgery in treating women who have undergone breast-conversing surgery for low grade ductal carcinoma in situ breast cancer.
SABR-CaRe in Early Stage Breast Cancer
Anatomic Stage 0 Breast Cancer AJCC v8Anatomic Stage 1 Breast Cancer AJCC v823 moreThis phase II trial studies the effect of calorie reduction while undergoing stereotactic ablative radiation therapy in treating patients with breast cancer. Stereotactic ablative radiation therapy (sABR) is a highly focused radiation treatment that gives an intense dose of radiation concentrated on a tumor, while limiting the dose to the surrounding organ. Giving SABR before surgery may make the tumor smaller. Adding dietary restrictions in combination with radiation therapy may help increase local control and decrease the spread of the cancer to other places in the body. The purpose of this trial is to identify if there is a decrease in tumor tissue in patients undergoing caloric restriction during pre-operative SABR, compared to patients undergoing pre-operative SABR alone.
Abemaciclib in Treating Patients With Surgically Resectable, Chemotherapy Resistant, Triple Negative...
Anatomic Stage I Breast Cancer AJCC v8Anatomic Stage IA Breast Cancer AJCC v823 moreThis phase II trial studies how well abemaciclib works in treating patients with triple negative breast cancer that can be removed by surgery (resectable) and does not respond to treatment with chemotherapy alone, or in combination with pembrolizumab. Abemaciclib may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.
Topical Afimoxifene in Treating Patients With Breast Cancer Who Have Undergone Radiation Therapy...
Cancer SurvivorDuctal Breast Carcinoma In Situ1 moreThis phase II trial studies how well topical afimoxifene works in treating patients with breast cancer who have undergone radiation therapy on one breast. Topical afimoxifene is a quick-drying medicated gel that may block the growth of breast cancer cells when applied to the breast skin. The purpose of this research is to determine what effect, if any, differences in skin type between women have on the delivery of topical afimoxifene to the breast tissue, and whether radiation affects the delivery of topical afimoxifene to breast tissue.
Phase 2 Surgical Excision vs Neoadjuvant Radiotherapy+Delayed Surgical Excision of Ductal Carcinoma...
Ductal Breast Carcinoma in SituThe purpose of this pilot study is to compare by pathological findings surgical excision versus neoadjuvant radiotherapy followed by delayed surgical excision of ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS)
CONFIRM: Magnetic Resonance Guided Radiation Therapy
Gastric CancerInvasive Breast Cancer4 moreThis research is being done to determine the safety and feasibility of using a type of radiation guided by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and chemotherapy to treat patients with gastric and breast cancer. The name of the radiation machine involved in this study is the MRIdian Linear Accelerator.
