Chronic Low-back PainThe specific objective of this study is to assess the safety and clinical efficacy of a new individualised spinal rehabilitation programme involving copaiba essential oil (CEO) therapy compared to usual care for people with chronic low back pain. Research in complementary and alternative medicine has increased over the last 15 years. As biochemical research shows, these substances carry the ability to relieve pain and to reduce inflammation. In doing so, it aims to: Improve the health outcomes for individuals with chronic low back pain (CLBP) by positively impacting their pain, disability, work capacity, physical activity and mental health, and Reduce the chronic health burden on society associated with treatment, sick leave, rehabilitation, and involuntary retirement, by reducing health-related costs. The primary clinical hypothesis is that patients with CLBP receiving individualised spinal care and additional CEO topical treatment will have superior short- and long-term outcome (defined by condition specific quality of life and general well-being) compared to usual care.

Intervertebral Disc DegenerationChronic Low-back PainACTIVE is a phase II B efficacy monocenter, prospective, randomized, controlled double blinded trial, in which intra-discal autologous adult BM-MSC therapy will be compared with sham treated controls. This trial will evaluate the efficacy of intradiscal injection of autologous BM-MSCs in workers affected by chronic low back pain (LBP) unresponsive to conventional therapy. The efficacy will be evaluated 12 months after the treatment in terms of pain relief (VAS, Visual Analog Scale), functionality (ODI, Oswestry Disability Index), quality of life (SF36, Short Form - 36) and work ability index (WAI).

Although the patient's neurological symptoms improve after surgery, many patients still have postoperative muscle soreness. The postoperative rehabilitation intervention for the patients receiving traditional lumbar surgery has been confirmed to effectively improve pain and disability. However, in recent years, minimally invasive lumbar spinal surgery has gradually replaced traditional surgery, postoperative pain has been greatly reduced. Therefore, patients have the opportunity to receive early intervention in rehabilitation, but there is no standardization process for rehabilitation of minimally invasive lumbar spine surgery. Therefore, this study aims to establish a health education program for patients receiving minimally invasive lumbar spinal surgery, and conduct clinical trials to test its effectiveness.

Ultrasonography Biofeedback for Diaphragm Training in Athletes With Lumbo-pelvic Pain
UltrasonographyLow Back PainObjective: To determine the effectiveness of diaphragm biofeedback reeducation by ultrasonography in conjunction with high-intensity inspiratory muscle training versus isolated high-intensity inspiratory muscle training in athletes with lumbo-pelvic pain. Methods: A single blinded randomized clinical trial will be carried out. A total sample of 80 athletes with lumbo-pelvic pain will be recruited and randomized into 2 groups: one group will be treated by isolated high-intensity inspiratory muscle training during 8 weeks, and another group will be treated with diaphragm biofeedback reeducation by ultrasonography during 6 weeks in conjunction with high-intensity inspiratory muscle training during 8 weeks. Outcome measurements will be diaphragm muscle thickness evaluated by ultrasonography (main outcome measurement), pain intensity, pressure pain threshold, disability, quality of life and respiratory parameters by spirometry, which will be assessed before and after intervention.

Low Back PainThis randomized, single-blind, parallel-group study will investigate the efficacy and the tolerability of a combination treatment of etoricoxib (30 mg/day) plus controlled-release oxycodone (10 mg/day) compared with a titrated dose of etoricoxib up to 60mg/day as monotherapy , in patients with Chronic Low Back Pain (CLBP) who have not responded to the starting dose of Etoricoxib 30mg/day. A common clinical question is that is it better to increase the dose of the current monotherapy or to combine both treatments early on, in patients who do not respond to standard start doses of NSAIDs like etoricoxib.
