Predicting Outcomes After Lumbar Fusion for Degenerative Disease
Low Back PainDisk Herniated Lumbar1 moreThe aim of the FUSE-ML study is to develop and externally validate a robust ML-based prediction tool based on multicenter data from a range of international centers that will provide individualized risk-benefit profiles tailored to each patient undergoing lumbar spinal fusion for degenerative disease. Data will be collected by a range of international centers.
The Effect of STarT Back Screening Tool
Low Back PainThe aim of this study is to examine the effectiveness of StArt Back Tool test in determining prognosis and loss of workforce in patients presenting with low back pain complaints in the acute-subacute period and to examine the relationship between StArt Back Tool test and kinesophobia.
Effect Of Myofascial Release Technique With Ultrasound Therapy in Adults With Nonspecific Low Back...
Low Back PainLow back pain is common problem the purpose of this research will be to determine the comparison of ultrasound therapy and myofascial release technique for treatment of low back pain in adults.
Efficacy of Mechanical Traction and Spinal Decompression Treatments in Patients With Low Back Pain...
Low Back PainLumbar Disc Disease3 moreMotorized traction and non-surgical spinal decompression treatments are relatively new treatments for which there is insufficient evidence in the literature. In this study investigators aimed to retrospectively compare the effectiveness of these treatments, which are in the field of their routine practice in their clinic.
Foot Reflexology Therapy and Non-specific Low Back Pain
Low Back PainThe aim of this study was to investigate whether the eight therapy session with foot reflexology can reduce pain intensity when applied as an addition to the standards care of low back pain according to the Malaysian low back pain management guidelines.
Pre-treatment Factors for the Development of Chronic Pain in Low Back Pain Patients
Low Back PainThe purpose of the project is to associate pre-treatment pain sensitivity level, levels of pain catastrophizing and levels of The Subgroups for Targeted Treatment (STarT) Back Screening Tool in patients with acute low back pain and patients' progression after 12 weeks of treatment by general practitioners.
Clinical Outcome After Lumbar Fusion
Chronic Low Back PainThe main objective of this prospective study is to compare the clinical outcomes after lumbar fusion for chronic low back pain using the four techniques commonly employed in our surgical practice. Lumbar fusion stops motion at a painful vertebral segment, which can decrease back pain. The four techniques are standard transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (S TLIF), minimally invasive transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (MI TLIF), extreme lateral interbody fusion (XLIF), and axial lumbar interbody fusion (AxiaLIF). Each differ in where incisions are made and level of invasiveness; not all may be implemented in each surgical case. The four different techniques are all standard approaches with different advantages and have yet to be compared in efficacy for relieving chronic low back pain.
Disease Perception and Recovery From Low Back Pain
Low Back PainThe main purpose of the study is to investigate the importance of patients' beliefs regarding staying active despite low back pain, among patients referred from general practice to secondary care treatment in Denmark. It is hypothesised that patients believing that staying active will help them recover will have higher odds of a 30%-improvement in The Roland Morris Disability score after 52 weeks compared to patients disagreeing that staying active will lead to better recovery.
Short Terms Effects of Medial Branch Block vs Para-spinal Muscle Injection in Patients With Non-specific...
Low Back PainMechanicalThis study compares the efficacy of medial branch block (MBB) vs. paravertebral deep intramuscular (PDI) injection for pain relief in chronic low back pain. Based on randomization in first intervention session, one side receives MBB and the other side takes PDI and in second session the pattern reverses.
Do Lower Spine Injections Improve Outcomes for Lower Back Pain Patients
Low Back PainThe purpose of this project is to determine the effect of lower back injections on select biomechanical outcomes, walking patterns, lower back flexibility and balance.
