Pain Resilience and Spiritual Health in Low Back Pain
Low Back PainIn the management of chronic pain, it is very important to reaffirm the patient's self-worth and ability through psychological support and spiritual care. The role of spiritual consultant is to provide spiritual consultation and spiritual care, so that the medical team can truly implement a whole-person care of the patient including the body, mind, and family. Pain resilience of chronic pain patients' has been found to be a different construct from the general resilience in the field of chronic diseases. Pain resilience emphasizes the cognitive/emotional positivity and behavior persistence of pain patients' when facing pain. So far, there has been no research on the theme of "pain resilience and spiritual health". Researchers have seen the necessity of care and assistance for patients with chronic low back pain. Hence, this study would like to explore "how pain resilience and spiritual health affect the pain experience of patients with chronic low back pain ". Research objectives: 1. To understand how spiritual health and pain resilience interact to influence the the pain experience in patients with chronic low back pain and 2. To understand how spiritual health and pain resilience interact and influence they way how patients with chronic low back pain cope with pain. Method: This research plan will be implemented upon obtaining the approval from IRB. An estimated 15 cases will be enrolled. Through in-depth interviews and collection of observational data during interviews, the interviewer will record, transcribe and analyze the narratives and experience descriptions. The results of this study can become an important basis for clinical care of patients with chronic low back pain.

Lumbar Spine Surgery Exceptations
Low Back PainLow back pain is one of the most common reasons for applying to health institutions. Low back pain seriously affects the lives of patients and causes great financial losses. Surgical treatments have an important place in the treatment of pain due to lumbar spine pathologies. Although success in lumbar spine surgery depends on many factors, it has been reported that one of the most important of these factors is patient expectations. In order for patients and doctors to have the same priorities and meet the same realistic goals, it is necessary to understand what patients expect. Many studies have attempted to measure patients' expectations for lumbar spine treatment; however, most of them are unapproved, valid and unreliable scales. Lumbar spine surgery expectations scale was created by Mancuso et al. in 2013 to learn the expectations of patients in lumbar spine surgery. It has been found that the scale has high validity and reliability values and it has been observed that it is frequently used in clinics and researches. In our country, there is no valid and reliable scale that questions the expectations of patients from lumbar surgery. As a result of this study, it is planned to introduce a valid and reliable scale adapted into Turkish, which can question the expectations of patients from a lumbar surgery.

Aging, Mobility and Chronic Low Back Pain
Low Back PainChronic PainChronic low back pain (CLBP) is very common in older adults and is one of the most common reasons for disability and poor quality of life. Lack of physical activity is considered to negatively impact CLBP and show an inverse association with pain symptoms and limitations. Remote and real-time monitoring can allow ecological momentary assessment which involves repeated sampling of participants' current behaviors and experiences in their natural environments. Recent advances allow monitoring of activity using inertial measurement units (consisting of accelerometers, gyroscopes and magnetometers) that can be worn by an individual at home or during work. In our study, we plan to test the feasibility and acceptability of the wearable devices in elderly patients with CLBP and to explore the use of data analytics and machine learning on the recorded data, in order to demonstrate the feasibility of a larger cohort study.
Cross-cultural Translation of Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) Into Local Languages of Pakistan
Low Back PainDescriptive analytical study to translate the Oswestry Disability Index into local languages of Pakistan that are, Pashto, Urdu, Punjabi, Sindhi, and Balochi languages. Along with validation of the translated versions by evaluating their validity and reliability in the people of Pakistan, speaking respective languages and suffering from low back pain. No such study has been previously conducted in the Pakistan region which translates the scale and follows the proper cross-cultural adaptation. Condition or disease: Musculoskeletal disorders and disabilities caused by Low back pain, Non-probability Purposive Sampling would be used. The study will be conducted in relevant areas of Pakistan.

Examining Racial and SocioEconomic Disparities (ERASED) in Chronic Low Back Pain Study
Back Pain Lower Back ChronicIt remains unclear whether certain disadvantaged subgroups of society may be at heightened risk for poor chronic low back pain (cLBP) outcomes. The overall aim of this study is to incorporate a socioeconomic framework to characterize racial differences in cLBP severity and disability. Further, guided by the theory of fundamental causes, we aim to examine racial and socioeconomic status differences in biopsychosocial predictors of cLBP outcomes, particularly endogenous pain modulation.
