This study is for individuals electing to have GreenLight Photoselective Vaporization of the Prostate (PVP) to treat symptoms from an enlarged prostate gland. The purpose of this research study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the medication dutasteride as compared to placebo (an inactive substance) for improving surgical and long-term outcomes of PVP. Dutasteride is approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of symptoms from an enlarged prostate gland. The use of dutasteride to improve the outcomes of PVP is investigational. The study will last for approximately 15 months and will involve 6 visits.

This is a pilot study examining biological endpoints in men with localized prostate cancer who are scheduled to have radical prostatectomies and men with Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia/Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (BPH/LUTS) following botulinum toxin type A (BoNT-A) injection. Patients will serve as their own controls by receiving BoNT-A injections into the right peripheral and transition zones and sham saline injections into the left peripheral and transition zones.

Irreversible electroporation (IRE) is a novel ablation modality using electric pulses to create nanoscale defects in the cell membrane. It has been verified to be safe on the treatment of prostate, lung, liver and kidney masses. The present is a randomized, controlled trial, with a main purpose of looking into the safety and feasibility of irreversible electroporation for patients with benign prostatic obstruction.

This study investigated the effectiveness and safety of SoracteLite ™- Trans-Perineal Laser ablation (TPLA) in the treatment of patients with symptomatic Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) at 6 and 12 months follow-up

Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is an enlarged prostate gland from smooth muscle and glandular hyperplasia seen in the aging population with a prevalence of upto 90% in patients in the ninth decade. Lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) and bladder outlet obstruction (BOO) are the most common presenting symptoms of BPH. Patients are initially evaluated with a complete history and physical exam to rule out other causes of LUTS and assess the severity of LUTS with scoring systems such as the American Urologic Association Symptom Index (AUASI) or the International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS). Patients with mild or no symptoms are treated with watchful waiting. Surgical procedure such as transurethral resection of the prostate and minimally invasive procedures such as microwave ablation and prostate artery embolization are performed in patients with failed medical management or patients who are not able to tolerate the side effects of the medications. Prostate artery embolization is a safe minimally invasive procedure shown to improve IPSS and quality of life with none or potential risk of minor complications shown in short, intermediate, and long term follow up.

This research study is studying MenHealth Mobile Uroflowmetry as a diagnostic tool for LUTS (lower urinary tract symptoms), a group of conditions involving the bladder, urinary sphincter, urethra and the prostate.

Crossover comparison of different flow meters with a digital home flow meter as a reference. Main hypothesis: Reapeated home flow measurements with a disposable device will provide a better understanding of the patients urinary flow than a single measurement performed in the clinic.
