Methylation Status of CD44 Promoter Region in Primary Lung Cancer

Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

This project is to study the methylation status of the transcriptional regulatory region of CD44 gene in surgically resected NSCLC specimens and normal lung tissue, correlate the methylation status of promoter region with the expression of CD44 gene, and analyze if methylation is associated with survival.

Cohort of Non-small Cell Lung Cancer With Mutation of the Nord Pas de Calais (CB(NPC)²)

Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

The investigators propose to create a database at the regional level, the principle is to include all patients in whom a mutation was detected from a single platform (Lille). The creation of this regional cohort, smaller than the national cohort of Biomarkers France, will perform a more comprehensive collection of clinical data, and molecular monitoring data of patients included. To increase the completeness of the collection of information, it will not be based on voluntary prescribing clinician but will be largely carried out by CRA dedicated to this activity.

Early Detection of Lung Cancer and Mesothelioma in Workers Exposed to Asbestos

MesotheliomaLung Cancer

This is a pilot study that aims to develop a lung cancer screening program for workers in British Columbia, Canada exposed to asbestos who are at risk of developing lung cancer/pleural mesothelioma. This is high risk population is at of respiratory system diseases as a result of their occupational exposures. Additionally, knowledge garnered from this study will allow us to develop other studies that will further our understanding of asbestos related lung cancer and mesothelioma.

Combined Diagnosis of CT and Exosome in Early Lung Cancer

Early Lung Cancer

This experiment has now collected 50 cases, all through CT chest scans and blood exosome detection. Twenty-two patients underwent surgical treatment and 14 tissue specimens were examined for cancer and paracancerous tissue exosomesWe found that exosomal micor-A was highly expressed in early stage lung cancer tissues and was significantly higher than paracancerous tissues. The micor-A in the adjacent tissues was significantly higher than that in peripheral blood exosomes

Coagulation System In STereotactic Radiotherapy Of NSCLC

ThromboembolismLung Cancer2 more

The risk of thromboembolism is elevated in lung cancer patients. The present project investigates whether stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) further increases the risk of thromboembolic disease in lung cancer patients. If coagulation is activated by SBRT, this study could form the basis of new clinical trials investigating whether lung cancer patients may benefit from thromboprophylaxis during and after stereotactic body radiation therapy.

Evaluation of PD1 / PDL1 Expression on Blood Cells & Tumor Tissue, Their Role as a Prognostic Target...

Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

Several reports have examined Programmed Death 1 (PD-1) expression on tumor-infiltrating T-cells, and its correlation with prognosis has been discussed. However, Programmed Death 1 (PD1)/Programmed Death Ligand 1 (PDL1) expression on the peripheral blood T-cells of cancer patients, particularly in those with lung cancer, has not been sufficiently studied. The purpose of this study is evaluate the expression of PD1 and PDL1 in subpopulations of peripheral blood and tumor cells patients with lung cancer non-small cell (NSCLC), associating with clinicopathological features of the patients studied.
