RATIONALE: A personalized Internet-based program may help improve fatigue, depression, and quality of life in long-term survivors of stem cell transplant. It is not yet known whether an Internet-based program is more effective with or without telephone-based problem-solving training. PURPOSE: This randomized clinical trial is studying how well an Internet-based program works with or without telephone-based problem-solving training in helping long-term survivors of hematopoietic stem cell transplant cope with late complications

In this randomised controlled study the investigators intended to compare the analgesic effects of EMLA and\or nitrous oxide in children submitted to lumbar puncture.

This is a single arm, multi-center, expanded access study of Iodine I 131 Tositumomab (BEXXAR) therapeutic regimen for patients with relapsed or refractory low-grade or transformed low-grade non-Hodgkin's B-cell lymphoma. The primary objective is to make Iodine I 131 Tositumomab more broadly available to patients. Secondary endpoints will be to obtain additional safety and efficacy information for this treatment regimen. Post study drug administration follow-ups will continue for up to ten years. These will include blood-work and adverse event assessments for 13 weeks post dosing, patient response evaluations at Week 13, Months 6, 12, 18, 24, and Long-Term Follow-ups every 6 months until the elapse of 5 years from the dosimetric dose and then annually thereafter through year 10. Thyroid function will be monitored annually during Long-term follow-up.

RATIONALE: Deferasirox may remove excess iron from the body caused by blood transfusions. PURPOSE: This clinical trial studies deferasirox in treating iron overload caused by blood transfusions in patients with hematologic malignancies.

Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of bortezomib in treating patients who have advanced cancer and kidney dysfunction. Bortezomib may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking the enzymes necessary for cancer cell growth.

The study aims to compare two application forms (pre-filled syringe and On-body injector) of the same active drug (pegfilgrastim) in adult patients under chemotherapy regarding patient preference and health economics. Chemotherapy will be supported with pegfilgrastim for four subsequent chemotherapy cycles using alternating application forms.

This pilot clinical trial studies Salvia hispanica seed in reducing the risk of returning disease (recurrence) in patients with non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Functional foods, such as Salvia hispanica seed, has health benefits beyond basic nutrition by reducing disease risk and promoting optimal health. Salvia hispanica seed contains essential poly-unsaturated fatty acids, including omega 3 alpha linoleic acid and omega 6 linoleic acid; it also contains high levels of antioxidants and dietary soluble fiber. Salvia hispanica seed may raise omega-3 levels in the blood and/or change the bacterial populations that live in the digestive system and reduce the risk of disease recurrence in patients with non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
