Clinical Trial to Evaluate the Safety and Efficacy of Treosulfan Based Conditioning Prior to Allogeneic...

LeukemiaChronic Myeloid Leukemia5 more

This is a multicentric, non-randomized, non-controlled open-label phase II trial to evaluate the safety and efficacy of treosulfan in a combination regimen with fludarabine as conditioning therapy prior to allogeneic stem cell transplantation (SCT) in patients with haematological malignancies. The aim is to demonstrate a clinical benefit compared with historical data on intravenous busulfan (BusulfexTM, BusilvexTM), the only drug so far registered in the indication conditioning before allogeneic stem cell transplantation.

Combination Chemotherapy and Rituximab in Treating Patients With Primary Mediastinal Diffuse Large...

Lymphoma

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Monoclonal antibodies, such as rituximab, can block cancer growth in different ways. Some block the ability of cancer cells to grow and spread. Others find cancer cells and help kill them or carry cancer-killing substances to them. Giving rituximab together with one of five different combination chemotherapy regimens may kill more cancer cells. PURPOSE: This clinical trial is studying giving rituximab together with combination chemotherapy to see how well it works in treating patients with primary mediastinal diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.

Zevalin® First Line in Follicular Lymphoma

Follicular Lymphoma

This is a European multicenter study of 90Yttrium-Ibritumomab Tiuxetan (90Y-Ibritumomab Tiuxetan) (Zevalin®) as a front line therapy for patients with follicular lymphoma grade I-IIIa and stage III-IV (as well as for selected patients with extended abdominal stage II). For patients with complete clinical remission but persistent molecular disease subsequent to 90Y-Ibritumomab Tiuxetan treatment a consolidation immunotherapy with Rituximab is added, to eradicate minimal residual disease.

Combination Chemotherapy and/or Radiation Therapy in Treating Young Patients With Hodgkin's Lymphoma...

Lymphoma

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as chlorambucil, vinblastine, procarbazine, and prednisolone, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to kill cancer cells. Giving more than one drug (combination chemotherapy) together with radiation therapy may kill more cancer cells. PURPOSE: This clinical trial is studying how well giving combination chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy works in treating young patients with Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Alemtuzumab and Combination Chemotherapy in Treating Patients With Newly Diagnosed Stage II, Stage...

Lymphoma

RATIONALE: Monoclonal antibodies, such as alemtuzumab, can block cancer growth in different ways. Some block the ability of cancer cells to grow and spread. Others find cancer cells and help kill them or carry cancer-killing substances to them. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisone, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from growing. Giving alemtuzumab together with combination chemotherapy may kill more cancer cells. PURPOSE: This phase I/II trial is studying the side effects and best dose of alemtuzumab when given together with combination chemotherapy and to see how well they work in treating patients with newly diagnosed aggressive stage II, stage III, or stage IV T-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Lymphoma

RATIONALE: Monoclonal antibodies, such as rituximab, can block cancer growth in different ways. Some block the ability of cancer cells to grow and spread. Others find cancer cells and help kill them or carry cancer-killing substances to them. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as fludarabine and cyclophosphamide, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Radiolabeled monoclonal antibodies, such as yttrium Y 90 ibritumomab tiuxetan, can find cancer cells and carry cancer-killing substances to them without harming normal cells. Giving rituximab and chemotherapy together with yttrium Y 90 ibritumomab tiuxetan may kill more cancer cells. PURPOSE: This phase I/II trial is studying the side effects and best dose of yttrium Y 90 ibritumomab tiuxetan when given together with rituximab, fludarabine, and cyclophosphamide and to see how well they work in treating patients with relapsed B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
