Evaluation of the Performance of Self-monitoring Optimized by Therapeutic Education in the Recurrence...
Age-related Macular DegenerationMonocentric and prospective study, evaluating the benefit of self-monitoring optimized by therapeutic education either by the environmental Amsler or the Amsler grid according to the patient's choice and to determine the patient's ability to determine the reality itself recidivism and therefore the need for treatment.
Biomarkers of Common Eye Diseases
UveitisDiabetic Retinopathy4 moreTo identify biomarkers of common eye diseases based on single-cell sequencing technologies using PBMC samples. These diseases include uveitis, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration and polypoid choroidal vasculopathy. Our study may provide new insight into the underlying mechanisms, and reveal novel predictors and intervention targets for the diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of these diseases.
Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD) and Cardiovascular Disease
Age-related Macular DegenerationCoronary Artery Disease1 moreThe purpose of this research study is to investigate the link between age-related macular degeneration (AMD or ARMD) and coronary artery disease (CAD). Age-related macular degeneration is a medical condition which may result in blurred or no vision in the center of vision. Coronary artery disease is a blockage of one or more arteries that supply blood to the heart. The study will specifically look at the macular changes that occur in the retina, which is the sensory membrane that lines the inner surface at the back of the eyeball, and the relationship between coronary heart disease and the risk factors.
Visual Performance Measures in a Virtual Reality Environment for Assessing Clinical Trial Outcomes...
Low VisionRetinitis Pigmentosa4 morePurpose: To validate a newly developed battery of performance-based tests of visual function to be presented using virtual reality. The tests are intended as potential outcome measures for clinical trials of treatments of eye disease: they measure visual performance in patients with low vision on visual tasks that a relevant for daily life.
Implication of CD35, CD21 and CD55 in Exudative Age-related Macular Degeneration
Age-Related Macular DegenerationThe purpose of this study is to determine a possible implication of CD21, CD35 and CD55 in the pathogenesis of age-related macular degeneration. The aim is to asses a difference in expression rates of these factors on AMD-patients and a healthy control group.
Long-term Follow-up of Subfoveal Neovascular AMD
Exudative Age-related Macular DegenerationTreatment naive patients with subfoveal nAMD initially treated monthly with intravitreal anti-VEGF and subsequently PRN, will be included in this study. Patients will be investigated for the first 2 years monthly and subsequently according to disease activity but at least every two months. Patients will be examined with 4m BCVA ETDRS distance visual acuity, reading acuity measured by Radner-Reading-Charts, contrast sensitivity by Pelli-Robson score, microperimetry and HD-OCT.
Retinal Imaging by Adaptive Optics in Healthy Eyes and During Retinal and General Diseases
Retinal DystrophiesAge-related Macular Degeneration4 moreUsing an adaptive optics imaging device, retinal structures are observed in healthy and diseased subjects.
