Observation of Treatment Patterns With Lucentis in Approved Indications

Neovascular AMDVisual Impairment Due to DME2 more

A multicentre, open-label, non-interventional study to observe treatment patterns in patients with wet age-related macular degeneration (wAMD), with visual impairment due to diabetic macular edema (DME), due to macular edema following retinal vein occlusion (RVO) or due to chorioidal neovascularization following pathologic myopia (mCNV) with repeated intravitreal injections of Lucentis® (Ranibizumab) including optional OCT monitoring over a 24 months observational period under real life conditions.

Evaluation of the Precision of the Microperimetry Function of the Spectral OCT/SLO

Age-Related Macular DegenerationGeographic Atrophy7 more

To conduct a precision study to assess the microperimetry function of the Spectral OCT/SLO. The study will assess variability across measurements taken by three different operator-device configuration across clinical sites, variability between subjects within a given operator-device configuration, and variability within a subject for a single operator-device configuration.

Contrast Sensitivity and Diabetic Macular Edema

DIABETES MELLITUSDIABETIC RETINOPATHY1 more

Contrast sensitivity is a tool use to evaluate the visual function in all patients. It can be modified by different pathologies or by age. The purpose of this study is to identify the changes that could be in relationship with the course of diabetic retinopathy comparing with diabetic patient without retinopathy and in patients with diabetic macular edema so if it is a difference, research for therapeutic strategies to improve it in this patients.

Microperimetry in Macular Edema

Macular EdemaUveitis

In uveitic patients with fluorescein angiographically proven macular edema, a fundus related microperimetry is performed and results are correlated with foveal thickness as measured with optical coherence tomography (OCT).

Evaluation of Vitrectomy for Diabetic Macular Edema

Diabetic RetinopathyDiabetic Macular Edema

The study is designed as a prospective cohort study to assess changes in visual acuity and retinal thickening and surgical complications in subjects undergoing vitrectomy for diabetic macular edema. The study also aims to identify subgroups in which there appears to be a benefit of vitrectomy and subgroups in which vitrectomy does not appear to be beneficial and to obtain data that can be used to plan a randomized trial. Subject will be followed through 2 years, with a primary outcome at 6 months post vitrectomy surgery. The vitrectomy procedure will be performed based on the investigators usual care and is not considered part of the research although the procedure performed will be collected.

Epiretinal Membrane and Cystoid Macular Oedema Post-cataract Surgery

Pseudophakic Cystoid Macular OedemaEpiretinal Membrane

This study examines whether the presence of an epiretinal membrane affects the time to resolution, requirement for non-topical treatment, and outcome of pseudophakic cystoid macular oedema.

Validation of a New Methodology for Mapping the Human Blood-Retinal Barrier Function

Age-Related MaculopathyDiabetic Macular Edema

To validate a new methodology, named Retinal Leakage Analysis (RLA), for mapping the human Blood-Retinal Barrier (BRB) function, in the clinical practice.

Function and Structure Imaging in Different Retinal Diseases: Retinal Leakage Analyzer Versus Optical...

Diabetic RetinopathyAge-Related Macular Degeneration1 more

The main objective of this observational study is to characterize and correlate functional and structural changes at the retinal level using the Retinal Leakage Analyzer (RLA) and the Optical Coherence Tomograph (OCT). To show if it is possible to use OCT as an indirect measurement of leakage, this study will check, in a primary analysis, for OCT changes between fluorescein leaking and non-leaking areas (identified by Retinal Leakage Analyzer). As a secondary objective, changes in RLA and OCT over time (between two consecutive visits) will be analyzed and characterized. The results of this study will be used exclusively for scientific purposes.
