CCRT With Temozolomide Versus RT Alone in Patients With IDH Wild-type/TERT Promoter Mutation Grade...

Grade II/III Glioma

The management of lower-grade gliomas (Diffuse low-grade and intermediate-grade gliomas, WHO II and III) is largely based on surgery followed by radiotherapy. Recent studies showed that lower-grade glioma patients with IDH wild-type (IDH-wt) and TERT promoter mutation (TERTp-mut) had dismal clinical outcomes. These results suggested that current treatment strategies are not adequate for this subtype of lower-grade glioma. The present study aims to examine the efficacy and safety of concurrent chemoradiotherapy with temozolomide followed by adjuvant temozolomide for lower- grade glioma patients with IDH-wt and TERTp-mut.

Safety Study of DIPG Treatment With Autologous Dendritic Cells Pulsed With Lysated Allegenic Tumor...

Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma

The purpose of this study is to asses safety of diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG) treatment with autologous dendritic cells pulsed with lysated allegenic tumor lines Evaluate the nonspecific immune response generated in peripheral blood and Cerebral Spinal Fluid (CSF) by proposed treatment Evaluate the specific antitumor immunity response generated in peripheral blood and CSF Assess overall survival and progression free survival Correlate the neuroradiological changes with the clinical course and immune response generated in peripheral blood and CSF Quality of life evaluation

Anlotinib to Malignant Brainstem Glioma

Malignant Brain Stem TumorGlioma

This study is a single-arm, open-label, phase II study of anlotinib combined with radiation in the treatment of patients with malignant brainstem glioma. Twenty five patients will be enrolled in the study who is diagonsis with malignant brainstem glioma. The primary objective includes disease control rate (DCR), the role of antinib combined with radiotherapy in improving quality of life and 6-month progression-free survival rate. The secondary objective include overall survival (OS), toxicity profile. Exploratory objectives include the use of plasma specimens and cerebrospinal fluid (if possible) to detect biomarkers predicting the efficacy of anlotinib.

Proton Radiation Therapy for Gliomas

Low Grade GliomaWHO Grade 3 Glioma With IDH1 Mutation1 more

In this research study the investigators are looking at a type of radiation called proton radiation. Proton radiation has been shown to deliver virtually no radiation beyond the area of the tumor, sparing surrounding normal tissue from exposure. This may reduce side effects that patients would normally experience with conventional radiation therapy. In this research study the investigators are looking to determine if proton radiation with a reduced field size will be as effective in controlling tumor growth as photon therapy, while reducing the treatment-related side effects observed in patients with brain tumors.

Comparison of Neuro-navigational Systems for Resection-Control of Brain Tumors

Glioma

Purpose: Improvement of extent of resection by the use of intraoperatively acquired image data sets to navigate. Better define the role of different intra-operative imaging modalities, used to update the navigational data set, in aiding the surgeon during resection of intra-axial brain lesions. To examine the cost-effectiveness of different intraoperative navigational systems as a function of operative time and Operative time (Surgery including imaging) There is increasing neuro-oncological evidence that extent of resection might have an impact in particular in low-grade lesions.

Pemetrexed Disodium in Treating Patients With Recurrent Malignant Gliomas, Primary CNS Lymphoma,...

Brain and Central Nervous System TumorsLymphoma1 more

RATIONALE: Pemetrexed disodium may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well pemetrexed disodium works in treating patients with recurrent malignant gliomas, primary CNS lymphoma, or brain metastases.
