Nevus Doctor Clinical Decision Support for GPs

Melanoma (Skin)Non-melanoma Skin Cancer1 more

The study investigates if a computer-based clinical decision support tool for skin cancer may improve the diagnostic accuracy of general practitioners (GPs). The aim of the program is to help GPs increase their diagnostic accuracy, in particular regarding the selection of suspicious skin lesions that need biopsy or referral to specialist health care for further assessment. Half of the physicians in the trial will have the clinical decision support tool available during consultations, while the other half has no such tool available. We hypothesize that general practitioners using the clinical decision support tool will have a higher number of correct classifications of skin lesions compared to doctors without the tool.

5 Year Registry Study to Track Clinical Application of DecisionDx-UM Assay Results and Associated...

Uveal Melanoma

Uveal Melanoma is a rare cancer with approximately 3,000 cases diagnosed in the US every year. Nearly half of these experience spread of their cancer outside the eye. The DecisionDx-UM gene expression test classifies an individual's tumor as low risk (class 1) or high risk (class 2) of spreading. This study is being done to collect information about how physicians are using the DecisionDx-UM results to design individual treatment plans. It will also track outcomes or the uveal melanoma population that received DecisionDx-UM testing.

Surgery for Gastrointestinal Metastases of Malignant Melanoma - a Single Center Retrospective Cohort...

Melanoma Stage IvMelanoma Metastatic1 more

The aim is to conduct a single centre retrospective study of all patients with stage IV melanoma that underwent surgery for metastases at Sahlgrenska University Hospital between 2010-01-01 and 2018-12-31. Pre- and postoperative data will be collected from digital medical records, the Swedish Cancer Registry, the Swedish Cause of Death Register as well as from the national Swedish cancer patient database (INCA). If needed, patient records will be collected from other hospitals. Results will be presented in written format as a summary and analysis of the characteristics of the cases operated on during the inclusion period.
