Pemetrexed Disodium and Cisplatin With or Without Cediranib Maleate in Treating Patients With Malignant...
Epithelioid MesotheliomaPleural Malignant Mesothelioma2 moreThis randomized phase I/II trial is studying the side effects and best dose of cediranib maleate when given together with pemetrexed disodium and cisplatin and to see how well it works in treating patients with malignant pleural mesothelioma. Drugs used in chemotherapy, pemetrexed disodium and cisplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Cediranib maleate may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth and by blocking blood flow to the tumor. Giving pemetrexed disodium and cisplatin together with cediranib maleate may kill more tumor cells.
Pleurectomy/Decortication (Neo) Adjuvant Chemotherapy and Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy...
MesotheliomaFor patients with this type of cancer, the standard of care is treatment with chemotherapy. Radiation therapy is typically not used. This is because radiation to the entire lining of the lung has many side effects that are often severe including damage to the lung (pneumonitis). There is a new radiation technique using Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) that has been shown to reduce many of the side effects of standard radiation therapy. This type of radiation therapy specifically targets the lining of the lung, where you have your cancer, and reduces the risk of damaging the lung itself. The purpose of this study is to test the safety and implementation of standard pleurectomy/decortication (removal of the surface lining of the lung) and standard chemotherapy followed by IMRT performed at other centers. Patients will undergo pleurectomy/decortication chemotherapy and hemithoracic pleural IMRT to the pleura in patients with malignant pleural mesothelioma.

Malignant Pleural MesotheliomaMesotheliomaThe purpose of this study is to determine whether the transarterial chemoperfusion treatment with cisplatin, methotrexate and gemcitabine is safe and effective in adults with malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM).
Nintedanib as Switch Maintenance Treatment of Pleural Malignant Mesothelioma
Malignant Pleural MesotheliomaThis is a multicenter, randomized, 1:1, double blinded phase II trial. Patients with unresectable malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM) will be randomized between arm A: nintedanib and arm B:placebo
Using E-Nose Technology to Measure Response to Treatment in People With Malignant Pleural Mesothelioma...
Malignant Pleural MesotheliomaThe researchers are doing this study to test the ability of a new technology called breathprinting, or electronic nose (E-Nose), to measure how people respond to standard treatment for malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM). The researchers will study how E-Nose breathprints change over time as people receive standard treatment for MPM. They will also look at how changes in people's E-Nose breathprints compare to changes in their standard imaging scans and in biomarkers of MPM in their blood.

Study of Cadonilimab Combined With Bevacizumab and Standard Chemotherapy as First Line Therapy in...
Pleural MesotheliomaCadonilimab, a tetravalent bispecific antibody targeting PD-1 and CTLA-4, is designed to retain the efficacy benefit of combination of PD-1 and CTLA-4 and improve on the safety profile of the combination therapy. The aim of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of cadonilimab in combination with bevacizumab and standard chemotherapy as first Line therapy in unresectable pleural mesothelioma.
