SABR-CaRe in Early Stage Breast Cancer

Anatomic Stage 0 Breast Cancer AJCC v8Anatomic Stage 1 Breast Cancer AJCC v823 more

This phase II trial studies the effect of calorie reduction while undergoing stereotactic ablative radiation therapy in treating patients with breast cancer. Stereotactic ablative radiation therapy (sABR) is a highly focused radiation treatment that gives an intense dose of radiation concentrated on a tumor, while limiting the dose to the surrounding organ. Giving SABR before surgery may make the tumor smaller. Adding dietary restrictions in combination with radiation therapy may help increase local control and decrease the spread of the cancer to other places in the body. The purpose of this trial is to identify if there is a decrease in tumor tissue in patients undergoing caloric restriction during pre-operative SABR, compared to patients undergoing pre-operative SABR alone.

PFMT Educational Intervention for Patients With Advancer Breast Cancer

Advanced Breast Cancer

A PFMT educational intervention was designed for women with metastasic breast cancer. It consisted in a 120 min workshop and 8 weeks of non-supervised (but with follow-up) self-training. ICIQ, IQOL and ad hoc questions were performed before the workshop and after the 8 weeks training to see the prevalence of UI, the impact in their quality of life and the empowerment of self-training.

Fulvestrant Plus Anlotinib in HR(+)/HER2(-) Metastatic Breast Cancer With FGFR Mutation

Breast Cancer

Previous studies have shown that the FGF signaling pathway is closely related to endocrine therapy resistance in breast cancer, but there is not sufficient evidence for the combination of endocrine therapy and FGFR inhibitors. Anlotinib is a highly effective VEGFRs, FGFRs, PDGFRs multi-target tyrosine kinase inhibitor. Therefore, we conducted this single-arm, single-center phase II clinical study to evaluate the efficacy and the safety of anlotinib combined with fulvestrant in patients with metastatic HR+/HER2- breast cancer patients with FGFR mutation and resistance to aromatase inhibitor therapy, to provide new treatment options for these patients.

A Study of Imlunestrant, Investigator's Choice of Endocrine Therapy, and Imlunestrant Plus Abemaciclib...

Breast NeoplasmsNeoplasm Metastasis

The main purpose of this study is to measure how well imlunestrant works compared to standard hormone therapy, and how well imlunestrant with abemaciclib work compared to imlunestrant in participants with breast cancer that is estrogen receptor positive (ER+) and human epidermal receptor 2 negative (HER2-). Participants must have breast cancer that is advanced or has spread to another part of the body. Study participation could last up to 5 years.

A Study of MRG002 in the Treatment of Patients With HER2-positive Unresectable Locally Advanced...

Advanced Breast CancerMetastatic Breast Cancer

The primary objective of Phase II is to evaluate the safety, efficacy, pharmacokinetics, and immunogenicity of MRG002 in patients with HER2-positive, unresectable locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer. The primary objective of Phase III is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of MRG002 versus Trastuzumab Emtansine (T-DM1) in patients with HER2-positive unresectable locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer who have been previously treated with trastuzumab (or a biosimilar) and an anti-HER2 tyrosine kinase inhibitor (anti-HER2-TKI) and have progressed on or after the most recent therapy.

Resistance-type Exercise Training in Postmenopausal Women Survivors of Breast Cancer

Breast Cancer SurvivorsPostmenopause1 more

Background: In postmenopausal women, an alteration in body composition occurs as a consequence of the secretion of low levels of serum estrogens by the ovaries. Observing an increase in abdominal and mammary fat mass and a decrease in skeletal muscle mass, which is also accompanied by loss of muscle strength and physical function, which leads early to a sarcopenia. On the other hand, the increase in estrogen production by adipose tissue has been associated with an increased risk of breast cancer during menopause because the mammary parenchyma is particularly sensitive to this type of estrogen. For this reason, Hormone Therapy (Aromatase Inhibitors and Tamoxifen) is prescribed in women with estrogen receptor-positive breast cancer. Antineoplastic treatments (Chemotherapy and Hormonal Therapy) have contributed to non-metastatic breast cancer currently presenting a high survival rate, not without adverse effects associated with the course of the disease, age and antineoplastic treatment, affecting various systems, but particularly skeletal muscle mass. Therefore, resistance exercise training has been proposed as an effective intervention strategy to increase muscle mass and strength in different populations. However, the level of muscle response to this type of training in postmenopausal women survivors of breast cancer with and without hormone treatment (Aromatase Inhibitors and Tamoxifen) is unknown.
